First HIIT session tonight in a long time. Kicked my butt, and I really need to work on boosting my food intake and getting some energy. I think this trainer is going to push me more than the last one, and that's a good thing. He won't let me slack and slip into bad form.

I still get super out of breath doing their work outs - you'll never finish a workout without sweating your brains out.

You know you got it in you Erica just think of all the work you have been putting into this. Don't lose motivation now. I know once you finish you'll feel amazing.

Okay maybe not amazing but definitely proud of the accomplishment

today I did not use working 11 hours straight as an excuse to "just work out tomorrow"

I ended up face first on the floor a lot because my lack of upperbody strength is just pathetic, but I tried. maybe by the end of 60 days I will be able to make it through a beginner insanity workout without taking extra breaks/having my arms give out on me

^Good luck on Insanity. Skwinkle and I did it summer 2010. We got sort of burned out with a week left to go. We hung in there for the most part. That workout definitely sucks and achieves results.

http://www.bodyrock.tv

you can also go to youtube and search for videos under: CharlieJames1975. That was Zuzana's youtube name and they still use it to post videos. You can see videos under that channel.

i've been doing Bodyrock for over 6 months and i have achieved FAR better results by only working out 12-20 minutes a day doing these exercises than i have in the past where i spent hours in the gym.

I havent worked out the past couple of day because I've had a terrible head cold. I'm really snotty and my head aches I'm going to try to push myself to work out this evening but I dont want to make myself worse, or have my cold move into my chest.

I like to stick to cardio when I've got a cold; it helps loosen congestion and I feel like I get well quicker when I exercise.

apparently people are getting allergies like whoah right now - but thinking that they're allergies cause they're so late in the year.

try some claritin and see if that helps, apparently since it hasn't gotten that cold - the mold spores are ridiculous right now.

yea this is what happens when you're doing too many things at once. i meant that because the winter hasn't gotten that cold yet, the mold spores are still quite active and are really affecting people's allergy issues.

so while some thing that they have a cold or the onset of the flu, it's actually allergies.

decided to go no-carb for a new years resolution. I started at about 177 (I'm 5'10") and after 9 days I'm down just below 170. gonna get down to 160-165 and then just switch to portion control/maintenance after that. Might also start doing weight training.

God I miss carbs

When do you gym neophytes feel the need to ditch the trainer? Sure they are good if you have no idea what you're doing, but couldn't you get advice for free from hundreds of body builders, powerlifters, weightlifters, or even fit buddies for free?

There's no guarantee that any of those guys know what they're talking about. At least with a PT you can go off testimonials and their credentials. I imagine the average weightlifter doesn't want some n00b bugging him for advice anyway.
