i would love to have him too, he'd definitely be a big contributor in '13 or '14. this season, he'd get a few minutes behind howell, leslie and warren (and maybe TDT)

He would most certainly be playing ahead of vandy and boils. Those guys are terrible. Amile has at least been playing basketball in america for all his life, so he has some sort of basketball instincts.

Seth Curry makes Dell my second least favorite former Charlotte Hornet. Not as bad as Mike Gminski, but he edges out Kendall Gill.

David Wesley gets his own category for obvious reasons.

tru dat

though the percentages favor the Association

best talent, way more skilled; even in a November game between two basement teams you can still find 6-8 minutes stretches of quality ball

Yeah lets not start this dumb conversation about college VS NBA, NBA is better basketball hands down. College is for the atmosphere and the affiliations.

Purvis is is slightly less athletic and more in control than goodwin, but he will be asked to do far less since we have a real, emotionally stable point guard.

I kinda came away impressed with both teams last night (Duke and UK).

Plumlee looked like he could be a force. Curry looked a lot better this one game than he did all last season when the ball was getting dominated by Rivers. The rest of the team looked solid as well. Soluiman is talented and they played much better defense than they did last year. I think they're definitely a top 10 team.

I mean....I think Lorenzo will destroy any guard they put on him and our frontcourt is still better...but we'll definitely be fighting them for the ACC regular season crown.

Kentucky is just young, talented, and athletic as fuck. Goodwin/Noel/Poythress look like they are going to dunk on somebody every time they get the ball. Right now the point guard spot is holding them back big time. I don't think Harrow or Mays are the answer and I think it's going to be tough for Goodwin to fit into that role...but if he figures it out, then they'll be top 5 by the end of the year.

Which means he is even less suitable to run the point...

Seriously...he played some point for us and he'll play a little for them.

They have four guys that can run the point:

Mays - a two guard with limited athleticism...but he does give them experience and toughness.

Harrow - bubbleguts...nuff said.

Polson - [former?] walk-on white boy who played really well against Maryland, but isn't a guy that can do that all year against good competition

Goodwin - another two guard who Calipari is trying to convert into a point guard because he knows Harrow can't hack it. He did okay last night, but you can just tell he hasn't played a lot of point. Looks very "uneasy" in that position.

Yes. Basically the Duke team that showed up in the 2nd half will be a force to be reckoned with. But the Duke team that showed up in the 1st half is gonna get beat.

Curious to see how jefferson develops. Right now Kelly is nothing more than a Lee Melchioni that can play defense and there is a huge drop off after Plumlee.

Mock drafts at this point are kinda

http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft this one has Zo at 10 but CJ in the 2nd

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2013/ this one has CJ at 11 but Zo in the 2nd round. It has Harrow rated higher than Zo.

Those sites always suck. But it theory lets say they don't... why would anyone ever project Harrow to be a first round pick right now? He's not a good shooter, he's not a good defender, he's not durable, he doesn't have a NBA body and he turns the ball over too much.

Are people just assuming Calipari just has to have a first round pick at PG every year? Maybe it's in the NBA's CBA?

any list that has harrow rated higher than zo obviously isn't an updated list.
i've defended harrow in the past, but predicting that he'll be a better nba pg than zo is absurd. he had a decent freshman season at state, but he's only played 10 mins in the two seasons since (and only got 2 assists, 2 PFs, 0 points and 1 TO).

Chattanooga was giving Kansas a hard time but KU pretty much came storming back after halftime and appears to have things under control.

I don't think you need another reason. But if you're looking for one, he played AAU ball on the CP3 All Stars so he's apparently an all star of crotch punching.
