"A northern New Jersey high school teacher accused of having sex with several male students is now facing a 40-count indictment.

Essex County authorities says Nicole DuFault is charged with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment for allegedly engaging in sex acts with six victims.

Authorities say all of the boys were between 14 and 15 years old at the time the alleged incidents occurred on multiple occasions in 2013 and 2014. They say some of the sex acts occurred on school property and in DuFault's car.

The indictment, handed up by a county grand jury, was made public Tuesday."

Why is it that these are generally attractive younger women? Makes me want to call bullshit, clearly this is a bunch of teenagers being butthurt about their grades and/or being shot down by the teacher.

^^^

what's more impressive is that she came up with a half million for bail and is free right now

Quote :
"DuFault was a language arts teacher at Columbia High School for several years before she was arrested in September. She remains free on $500,000 bail."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/17/nicole-dufault-_n_6701038.html

I doubt her teacher's salary (public or private) could support that kind of bail money, so she's either got independent wealth or perhaps (more sinisterly) a cuckolded husband who is willing to put up a small fortune to have a wife walking around free in spite of such allegations.

I mean, she'd probably only have to come up with $50k. I'm sure a bondsman covered the rest. She's 35 years old...if you're being financially responsible at ALL, $50k shouldn't be a problem if you really had to.

She might have to cash out an IRA and sell mutual funds and clean out her savings account, but at 35 years old, you ought to be able to get your hands on $50k without any problem.

^^ Yeah with taxes and penalties to pay. Duke is just high on something you can ignore him. I don't know anyone that's 35 that has 50K unless their parents have it. Either their kids costs them too much, or they just don't have it period. I could 'get' my hands on 50k, but I surely don't have it on hand, per se.

I don't think it's an unrealistic sum of money to have by the time you are 35 by any mean... just most teachers won't be there yet.

Not couples but individuals that don't have 50k cash right now as we speak ... whats so about that? Seems pretty normal for 35 years old or less. Not to say they don't have a lot of other assets or whatever, but 50k cash no.

Some of y'all seemed to miss the thing where we all pretend we're super good with money, worked our way through college with no extra help, got wildly lucrative careers, and survived the economic crash just stacking cash and simultaneously balling out--with the pictures and Facebook posts to prove it.

While we're on this topic...all you dumb asses who shared your "cooking" photos...we get it...your kitchen has granite countertops. Congratulations...on helping me to quit Facebook.

I don't make all that much money and not including my 401k and IRA, I've saved better than 10 grand in the last year. Even if she made a 1/4 of what I do, in teaching for 13 years she should have had the better part of 50k available to her in retirement accounts, if not in cash.

Next time I'll photograph my food sitting on my driveway, to make you feel better about your Formica.

You could have $21,900 sitting in a savings account had you had given up your pack a day habit 10 years ago.

Needless to say, if you have $50k in your bank account at 35 (not unusual for an educated, responsible, and/or lucky person), you're grossly out of touch with the majority of Americans living in your crystal palace, high above the clouds, looking down on the average american.

Ha, that's true. People have been saying that for like 60 years now... doesn't seem to have much of an impact.

Humans, as a species, aren't long-term planners. We're dumb, reactive, lazy, and emotional.

Even though teachers dont make a heck of a lot in NC, they usually have their loans repaid in part or in full. A single person at 35 really doesn't have a lot of expenses. They should be capable of saving money.

And just because you're capable of saving money doesn't mean that your parents paid for school either. Perhaps, just perhaps, some people have realized they can cut down significantly on their expenses if they give up a few extravagances.

Because someone has something that the "average" person does not means they're "grossly out of touch"? Not to mention, in the first part of your post you said that it wasn't unusual for an educated 35 year old to have $50k socked away.

I can't tell which part(s) of your posts are sarcasm.

But no one has answered the question - who has 50k right now?

I guess I have about that much with two retirement accounts, a credit card and credit account (that I could easily use to produce liquid), and savings. I'm 38.

So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

You shouldn't have $50k in cash lying around anywhere...that shit needs to be making money for you somewhere.

But I could get $50k in a day or two to bail out my wife for banging 15 years olds if I needed to. But I'd probably save it and let that slut rot in jail.

1. You don't know anything about my countertops. Personally, I'm a fan of Corian.

2. You should only have a problem with my post if you know that you're guilty of posting photos with the obvious intent of signaling status to others. Otherwise, you apparently just like taking pictures of yourself cooking and then sharing them with your friends and family.
