my main hesitation is a combination of sophomore slump and the likelihood that he'll have a drop in statistical value this year as he won't be expected/forced to literally do it all. I think he'll still do really well, but maybe a little worried he's slightly overvalued.

dunno, maybe i'm overthinking it.

I have a small problem, but its a good problem.

1. (6) Tom Brady QB
2. (15) Rob Gronkowski TE
3. (26) Roddy White WR
4. (35) Greg Jennings WR

6. (55) Ahmad Bradshaw RB
7. (66) Willis McGahee RB
8. (75) Shonn Greene RB
9. (86) Kenny Britt WR
10. (95) Randy Moss WR
11. (106) Torrey Smith WR
12. (115) Stevan Ridley RB
13. (126) Denarius Moore WR
14. (135) Ben Tate RB

definitely Fleener for one

I think he'll have a good year and be a nice check down option for Luck, but if you kept him, you'd basically only play him during Gronk's bye week

You've got enough time to make quantity for quality trades to free up roster space also

Try to package Bradshaw & Greene together for a better RB

If you can't do something like that in time, I'd drop Moss & Fleener

i like Bowe longterm but I'd play Jackson in week 1

if you're planning on getting rid of one before the season that doesn't really help, but Bowe missed most of the preseason and looked rusty when he did play

11th pick in a 12 team snake draft, 6pts passing TD, PPR for TE's only 0.75--

QB Peyton Manning (3rd/35)
RB Chris Johnson (1st/11)
RB Jamaal Charles (2nd/14)
WR Mike Wallace (4th/38)
WR Percy Harvin (6th/62)
TE Jermaine Gresham (7th/83)
Flex Greg Little (9th/107)
D/ST Jets (13th/155)
K Rob Bironas (14/158)

B/QB Matt Ryan (5th/59)
B/QB Russell Wilson (12th/134)
B/RB Stevan Ridley (8th/86)
B/RB LaRod Stevens-Howling (15th/179, throwaway pick that I will replace via add/drop)
B/WR Sidney Rice (11th/131)
B/TE Owen Daniels (10th/110)

Confident in my starters but my bench is jacked up. The way our league is scored QB and TE carry something of a premium, but there was no need to take RW. At the time I saw it as an investment for later in the season but now I just feel like a bit of a homer since I'm thin at RB and I'd like to have a higher-caliber second TE for flex value. If I were to try to use RW as trade bait (most of my league members are NCSU alums or staff) I wonder if I could get anything useful for him though? RW plus Daniels for a better TE? Ideas on improving my RB situation? In retrospect I should have let the D go past in the 13th and picked up the best remaining RB.

Should I start Cam Newton vs Tampa or Russell Wilson vs Arizona? I feel like Wilson is gonna go off against Arizona.

Also, Jonathan Stewart, Malcom Floyd or Maurice Jones-Drew in my flex spot?

^ I'd have to go Newton. You drafted Newton to be your starting QB, tough to start playing matchups at this point with only having preseason as an indication of how RWilson is going to perform. And MJD just signed, I'd prob have to go with Floyd until you see MJD actually play.

I'd go with Cam and MJD. I've never been a huge Floyd fan, he tends to turn in 2 stellar games a year with everything else being 4-8 points. You should at least get that with MJD on even his worst night. It will interesting to see where Meachem fits in with Rivers.

Drafted tonight:

QB Philip Rivers, SD QB
QB Eli Manning, NYG QB
RB LeSean McCoy, Phi RB
RB Fred Jackson, Buf RB
WR Victor Cruz, NYG WR
WR Julio Jones, Atl WR
TE Jermichael Finley, GB TE
FLEX Vincent Jackson, TB WR
OP Matt Schaub, Hou QB
K Sebastian Janikowski, Oak K

Bench
Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG RB
Jeremy Maclin, Phi WR
Torrey Smith, Bal WR
Robert Griffin III, Wsh QB
Donald Brown, Ind RB
C.J. Spiller, Buf RB
Joe Flacco, Bal QB
Jacob Tamme, Den TE

6 team keeper league (kept Rivers, McCoy, and Cruz for some odd reason). Also draft full defensive team but I'm sure most aren't interested in that. Not seeing a lot of options for RB2 in week 1 with Buffalo facing the Jets which usually shuts the Bills run down, I am thinking of throwing Bradshaw in for RB2. So who would you put at RB2 and FLEX?

no way in hell i'd play MJD in week 1...not that I'm huge on Floyd, but Stewart is sharing carries with an ankle sprain and MJD is gonna get maybe 15 touches and isn't in football shape

^i'd probably throw Maclin at the flex versus Cleveland...to me Bradshaw vs Dallas and Fred Jackson versus the Jets is a tossup...Jets have had a solid defense in recent years, but they're so bad on offense I expect the Bills to have the lead in the 2nd half and give Jackson plenty of touches

Floyd has the much bigger upside, but MJD is the safe choice (IMO). Rivers and the Chargers have a tendancy to start out slow as well. Plus both match ups are favorable, or as favorable as a match up can be for Jax.

lol, yeah, I currently got Schaub in there but yeah I gotta hope my QBs don't get hurt. I'm a little thin on WRs too, especially if Nicks is hurt. I wanted to pick up Matt Ryan in the 4th round or so but someone took him in the second.

12 team snake league drafted 10th, standard scoring league (not PPR)

QB: Peyton Manning, Matt Schaub
RB: Chris Johnson, Doug Martin, Willis McGahee, Evan Royster, Mike Tolbert
WR: Julio Jones, Hakeem Nicks, Reggie Wayne, Titus Young, Randy Moss
TE: Vernon Davis, Jacob Tamme
K: Garrett Hartley
D: Houston

I think I'll be ok but if a few guys get hurt I'm screwed...

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. I picked up McGahee in the 6th round, I was hoping with Peyton at the helm he would get a little more room to run. Plus, I grew up a fan of the U so it was somewhat of a sentimental pick as well.

I guess we'll see! Should be a fun season.

hate to make you guys feel inadequate but peep the strategy.

2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex, TE, K, D. No ppr league, pass td's worth only 4.

QB: M.Ryan, R.Griffin III, A.Dalton, R.Fitzpatrick
RB: R.Rice, A.Foster, D.Martin, S.Greene, J.Stewart
WR: D.Bowe, J.Maclin, V.Jackson, A.Brown, S.Johnson, E.Decker
TE: A.Hernandez
K: R.Gould
D: NY Jets

Ended up with Hernandez in all three leagues, he's my #3 ranked TE and i think the top two went for way too much when you can get Hernandez for practically nothing. Ryan is my #5 QB so glad i finally pulled him in one league. Got Bowe in 2 of 3, he's criminally underrated this year he was sick two years ago. Also have RGIII in both of my 2 QB leagues since he's my #10 QB. I also have Stewart in all three leagues, I think he's in for a fairly big season for an RB that everyone is overlooking. He's an injury risk, but if he stays healthy he's got value. Maclin, Vjax, and A.Brown I have in two leagues because WR is so deep and can be had cheap.

^ have you ever played fantasy football before? Ten team league.

I'm in three leagues, one of which is $350 entry that has been going for over ten years. In that league you could have had Foster, McCoy, and Rice if you wanted them.

Have a clue what you are talking about before you post.

Here check the cheat sheet on ESPN for god's sake.http://g.espncdn.com/s/ffldraftkit/12/NFLDK2K12_StandauctionCS.pdf?addata=2012=ffldft_chtsht_standvalues_

first off, flex spots are WR/TE unless its a corny league... no one in the NFL is running the option... if a league has RB flex they probably have two QBs starting too or some other goofy shit.

but, we will go with that anyways just for face:

I'm starting to think face suffers from some sort of autism. Highly functional with average to above average intelligence, but something's just not right. My minimum understanding of Asperger's doesn't seem to fit, so at least we can eliminate that.

I haven't played in a single league without a flex spot for rb/wr in at least 5 years. Possibly more. Step into the new millenium Jaybee.

Secondly, I posted the ESPN recommended player values right there for all to see. You can easily fit McCoy, Rice, and Foster under the cap in most leagues. The rest of your team will basically be all $1 players though, so I wouldn't recommend the strategy. Everyone knows in an auction you can get three great players if you want to.

And I'm highly intelligent, period. Possibly the most intelligent person in sports talk, but I can't say with certainty.

You guys can't even add numbers up to $200. Infuriating how retarded the discourse is here.
