I lol'd when Gruden called out that O-Lineman. We waited for 5 years to see offensive line improvement under TOB and got absolutely none of it. Forget about the receivers dropping balls, think about all the stats that Glennon could've put up if he had any kind of protection in his 2 years.

I lol'd when Gruden called out the play action calling at the end of the clipHis line at about 2:00 was classic resume fluff. "Self starting, motivated, leader"

^^ as a Culter hater, I'm intrigued. as a drop-back passer hater, I'm disgustedthis has Trestman written all over it
4/24/2013 5:27:36 PM
Anyone watch it? How was he
4/24/2013 5:48:57 PM
4/24/2013 7:25:26 PM
they have zero connection. i meant that Trestman is enamored with pocket passers and I'd like to see a dual threat in Chicago
4/24/2013 7:33:17 PM
I seem to recall Trestman being a traditional west coast guy. I imagine he'd want someone with a quicker release than Glennon, could be wrong though

I dont know which thread I like better, this or the Amerson one. I have them both framed on my wall next to my Heath Shuler poster
4/25/2013 2:06:27 PM
Tennessee has a bunch of Heisman winners right? Or am I thinking of Florida, Georgia and Alabama
4/25/2013 2:18:09 PM
yeah, so they can talk shit, but you cant. And Alabama just has one and that didnt come until 4 years ago.And Tennessee should have at least one. Fucking bullshit Woodson.
4/25/2013 2:20:37 PM
4/25/2013 2:22:23 PM
Tennessee has never had anyone hyped for the Heisman do as bad as Glennon or Amerson. Both of their chances were over after Game 1 haha. Shuler and Manning both came in second.[Edited on April 25, 2013 at 2:25 PM. Reason : d]

as you post on page 6 of a thread titled "Mike Glennon Heisman Watch 2012"and dont claim it was in jest... if he had came out red hot this would have been totally serious[Edited on April 25, 2013 at 2:29 PM. Reason : d]
4/25/2013 2:28:38 PM
a joking tradition thread on tww = legitimate heisman hypegot itRivers is the only player in the last 15 years that had any kind of legitimate Heisman hype for State
4/25/2013 2:29:10 PM
riiiiight. Its like the people that hit on a chick and when she says no they claim that they were just kidding.
4/25/2013 2:30:19 PM
^ This is a joke thread as was the Amerson thread. No real person actually believed either had a chance to win a Heisman. Also how do you frame an internet thread to hang on the wall? Do you just print out a screen shot of it?
4/25/2013 2:31:48 PM
If Arn Anderson had been hired this thread would've been totally serious-Jaybee
4/25/2013 2:32:17 PM
^^ I used to do that. Now I buy an iPad specifically for each thread and hang it on the all using one of these ( http://www.studioproper.com/products/wall-mount-disk ) and then place a frame around it.^ Like I said, if he had come out of the gates tearing shit up, it would have been viewed as totally serious. You cant have it both ways. "Hell yeah, hes awesome" and "Oh, haha, just kidding!"[Edited on April 25, 2013 at 2:34 PM. Reason : d]

Wow, for a State fan you sure were down on Glennon. To compare him to obvious joke threads. That's a pretty bad view of your NFL caliber field general[Edited on April 25, 2013 at 2:40 PM. Reason : R]
4/25/2013 2:40:11 PM
are you trolling just because the football program with the highest recruiting budget in the entire country has never produced a heisman winner and you're mad, or are you just bored?
4/25/2013 2:48:50 PM
I don't troll. I'm objective. If my objectivity happens to be against something you like I am sorry. For example. Tennessee's defense was horrible last year. Our worst ever. I don't deny that. I don't like it, but objectively I can't argue. You can't argue that if Glennon had 12TDs and no INTs through the first two games that this would have been taken as a totally serious thread. And of course UT has the highest budget. They are in the most competitive, hardcore conference in the county and there isn't as much in-state talent in TN as there is in most of the rest of the south so that only makes sense.[Edited on April 25, 2013 at 2:53 PM. bottomline is you're retarded if you think this thread means anyone thought glennon had any legitimate shot in hell of even being a heisman finalistunobjectively retarded

If Michael Vick turned out to be made of 24 karat gold and an actual immortal deity, rallydurham's thread would've been a serious one
4/25/2013 3:01:15 PM
If my Daniel Imhoff Heisman Watch 2011 thread hadn't been locked he could have been a heisman finalist
4/25/2013 3:01:56 PM
At the MOST...Glennon and Amerson were very low dark-horse candidates for Heisman. I don't think anyone seriously thought either of them had a chance to finish in the top 5 barring a miracle season. We'd have had to win the ACC for Glennon to have a shot and Amerson would have had to repeat last year's performance...which even if he had a great year, wouldn't have happened because no one would have thrown to him.We have Josh Davis Appreciation and Mike Vick is a Golden God threads on this board. Quit being an annoying troll and we'll quit calling you a fat fuck. Also, both of these guys have a possibility of going in the 1st round of this upcoming draft...so it's not like they had Derek Dooley type years.
4/25/2013 3:05:16 PM
Once again, its a sad sad day when you compare what may be the best QB you have had since Jay Davis to joke threads. Shame, shame on you indeed.Oh shit, you got me, 44 year old Derek Dooley is indeed not getting drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. Or any round for that matter. Oh shit![Edited on April 25, 2013 at 3:08 PM. Reason : F]
4/25/2013 3:06:23 PM
He's going in the first two rounds of the draft and threw for 7,000 yards and 62 touchdowns in the past two years and you're acting like he had a failure of a season. And again...he was never hyped for the heisman. I even looked back on the first page and no one was talking about it. Look who made the thread for fat fuck's sake. Okay...don't want to turn into TT10 and keep responding to trolling.

I realize this thread is about those who are objective.... which I am not. Hear me out, maybe I can offer some insight. I am in outside sales, which is currently salary+commission, but will move into straight commission starting at the beginning of July 2010. I have been in this position since July 2009. I have competition from several direct manufacturing sales reps, large distributors, and local distributors. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of each:Direct Advantages: Immediate knowledge of new technology, no middle man mark up, one shipping bill (paid by manufacturer or buyer of goods), access to larger range of non-commodity items, control inventory, have access to many distributors that can effectively sell their goods which increases market share, and set prices of commodity they manufacture.Direct disadvantages: Typically have 1-3 sales reps per region (i.e. southeast, mid-atlantic, northeast, etc.) limiting the number of accounts they can successfully manage/cold-call, lack physical customer service or physical technical service available to or affordable for smaller users or altogether, are sometimes not trustworthy because they will go in behind their distributors that sell their commodity to one account in large quantities (i.e. they missed a big account, and have found out about it through a distributor selling their particular product) which leads to the distributor not selling their product anymore, have too many distributors selling the product ultimately driving the set price down through deviations, possibly rely on distributors to actually sell the product, and competition from other direct sources.Large distributor advantages: have access to other commodities that go hand in hand with other manufacturers (poor example- grocery stores sell milk as well as cereal), get direct pricing, many locations regionally or nationally easing the shipping burden of buyers with multiple locations, personal service either customer or technical, many sales reps that are able to cover a broader territory, access to multiple manufacturers of the same commodity allowing to keep prices in check, service programs that smaller companies can't offer and direct providers can't match in price or value, and experts of many many commodities as opposed to one or a few.Large distributor disadvantages: smaller local distributors creating price wars (think Michael Scott Paper Co vs Dunder-Mifflin), direct mfg's going in behind and stealing business, limited access to all of the mfg's (you won't find Harris Teeter name brands in Food Lion and visa versa), can't truly set prices because it's based on both supply and demand, territory management, and tough growth prospects in slower economies (this is true for direct as well really)Local distributor advantages: Typically a good ol' boy setting where the seller and the buyer know each other for years (this does happen at all levels, but mostly at the local level), local folks are right down the street and can be used in emergencies, if the local guy buys at high enough volumes then there is no shipping charge to the end user, and access to both direct mfg's and large distributors.Local distributor disadvantages: easily beaten in price, array of commodities, array of technology, lack of trained staff, low cash flow, etc etc etc. This is what I have noticed in my six months, I am sure there are plenty more that need mentioning. The way I am setting myself apart as a sales person is this: I go after the big accounts right now while I am new. The big accounts, if I land them, will take care of me while I am new and building a customer base. The money made off of those allows me to focus free time on smaller accounts that get me higher margins. I build up big accounts, I would like to have 5-10 of these, then get 20-30 medium accounts. If I lose 1 or 2 big accounts, the 20-30 medium accounts keep me afloat while I go after new big accounts. I don't really waste time on small accounts simply because they basically pay for breakfast or something really small. I will say this, if you can't get a big account in the first 6-8 months (assuming you have cash flow that you can ride this long) you could be in a world of trouble. If you can get one, it will really make going after the others a lot more enjoyable and less stressful. It's simply just very exhausting wasting any time on anything other than big accounts in the very beginning. You work just as hard on the medium sized accounts and see 1/3 to 1/36 of the money in my situation. If you have any other questions, you can PM me. I hope this helps in the slightest!
