There are lots of schools in the state though, and even though they are all average football programs at best, it was nice to be the best

even though Clemson and South Carolina are better football programs than us, those are the only 2 programs in the State. We have at least 5-6 if you count App

I had to laugh when the announcers were talking at the end of the game about the confidence the team feels having Brandon Mitchell in the game. Hasn't made much of a difference this year so I am not sure what they were talking about.

Not Our State. The postgame comments by Johnny Evans made me LOL. Something along the lines of "Mitchell led the Pack back late in the 4th quarter, he is continuing to learn and hopefully can bring it to next weeks game" Mitchell is a Senior, he has one game left, now is not the time to learn, class is over. The Mitchell/Thomas experiment has failed miserably, time to move on. I say play Shirreffs or Leatham, can't get any worse.

Regarding the change in midfield logo, what an unnecessary embarrassment. I wish we kept it so they could have made us look like bigger retards. The leaps we have regressed this year will not be easily overcome. We are staring 0-8 conference in the face. Doren better hope these recruiting classes we keep hearing about come to fruition. Maybe they can help mask his inability to coach.

You pay money for a ticket, you can leave whenever the fuck you want...especially when the team blows like we do. Our fans are pretty hard core considering how much we suck. You're just being a dick complaining about fan filing out of a game against a middle-tier team in which we're getting blown out, facing an 0-fer in conference play. Just stfu.

And I haven't been upset about this team since the UNC game...and maybe before that. You just have to write this season off. The QBs are at a Beck/Stone level and we don't have a defense that can make up for it. New coaches, new scheme, and obvious lack of talent was going to ultimately lead to this season. Just cross your fingers and hope that Brisset is good and that all of these young kids getting burn this year will improve next year. I hope Doeren and company can actually coach...cause they're going to be here for a few more years.

it's fine to think this, and i'm sure there are a couple instances of it happening due to the sheer number of good coaches dealing with bad players at every level of competition in every sport imaginable, but you can't realistically expect any "good" coach to be able to impact bad players significantly enough for there to be a clear and measurable improvement in performance. i've heard shit like "a good coach finds ways to win" countless times, but sometimes your kids just fucking suck and there's only so many ways to polish up a turd. we don't have good talent. period. and some of what little talent we have is injured. just because people think a good coach should improve their players doesn't mean they can. this team was doomed to suck no matter who was barking out commands on the sidelines.
