People are saying the looting and violence has been made a bigger deal than it really is. Anyone seen the ransacked kmart? Or the Sam's Club with no more electronics? From what I've seen on the news tonight, the protests have been completely peaceful tonight. Some lady (I think a state senator in MO) said there was a different atmosphere tonight where all protesters seemed more at ease.

I'll be damned. Don't militarize the police and don't treat the situation like a military occupation and people will actually act civilized. Wow.

Looting unfortunately will affect the legal outcome. It shouldn't have happened and now the cops are going to walk.

There is no jury they can construct that won't have these shenanigans on their mind.

I'm confused in a town with a black majority (it really shouldn't matter) how is it the white mans fault African American leaders ran for mayor, city council, and more blacks didn't join the police force.
