I'm not one of those crazed fans who want coaches fired after only three years, but I say get on the phone with Chip Kelly and his agent and go all in. Screw it. Give him all the money he needs, create fake classes that benefit both regular students and student athletes, set the players up with some runners for agents that take them to the hottest night clubs. I'm tired of sucking. Obviously I'm joking about the UNC type stuff as I don't want my school drug through the mud, but we've gotta do something about changing the culture and perception of our program. We need to somehow become seen as being serious about football the way a program like Michigan State has. Do a major addition to the Murphy Center with all the bells and whistles of the best football facilities currently out there and then some.

Blahtastic season. What else do you expect from a football team that schedules Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion, and South Alabama in an effort to prepare the team for conference play. Great for making a bowl game on cheap wins, but that's about it.

What was good about this season, we gave Clemson a tough out and that was about it?

Best parts of the season were easily the wins at Wake and BC. Hadn't won at Wake since 2001 and I don't think we had ever won at BC. Although both were historically bad this season.

Some thoughts from being at the game...

1. Mississippi State fans are now third on my "fans I hate" list after UNC and Ohio State. The cowbells were so damn annoying, and you could hear tons of them going off at inappropriate times (the few times our guys did something good and when a player was down on the field).

2. The "Statement sticks" were incredibly dumb. I said so out loud when someone tried to hand me a pair as I entered the gate, and lots of state fans glared at me as if I was putting down the entire university. It was a gimmick to try to counter the cowbells and it just did not work.

3. Watching a rain game live isn't the worst thing. I was soaked but if we had been winning I would have been having a great time. When we were only down 10 everyone seemed to forget how bad the weather was.

4. It was most certainly interference when the MSU guy muffed the punt. By that point I had snuck down to the lower level at that endzone and could see our player make contact before the ball got there.

5. If you have to go for it on 4th & 1 that many times in a single game, something is wrong

6. NC State's band plays better music than MSU's band. However, MSU's band is better at playing music.
