Rjr could just mean in general he keeps politics off his social media. I abstain from talking politics on my personal social media feeds, not because I'm racist but because I don't want to deal with my family and friends from back east who are and would be appalled that I didn't vote straight ticket R. I get no pleasure in discussing politics or religion with anyone I really know so I don't choose to engage in that banter on Facebook. I enjoy it on Reddit and TWW where I have shared interests or educational background but that is it and otherwise we are largely anonymous.

I haven't opined about her firing, just her inability to keep her trap shut. There have just been so many celebrities that have gotten in trouble over things they've said....you'd think they would have learned by now.

And the reason I keep my politics to myself is simply because it's no one's business but my own. The people I care to discuss politics with already know what i believe. I don't need my cousin twice removed on FB to know how I feel. And honestly I don't want my views to negatively impact my career. It wouldn't take much these days. A potential hiring manager who leans left? What if they saw a FB post and decided I wasn't a good fit?

Why did he need a droid to analyze the atmosphere? He can pressurize his suit/helmet. Here on Earth in 2023 we have machines that can do that. He couldn't get some kind of device that he can just carry himself to do it?

I hated the Doctor Pershing show. Bad performances, terrible world-building. The episode stopped dead the minute that sequence started. What the hell were they thinking? It was so, so, so bad!

Yeah I was trying to put my finger on if it was the acting or what that kinda bothered me about it. I didn't seem to hate it as much as you did, but there were times when I wanted them to cut back.

I also think Andor is so much better at doing what they were kind of trying to do there that it just felt out of place on Mandalorian.

I did like the surplus of Mon Calamari.

I honestly think it wasn't the sequence alone that I was reacting to so strongly but the possibility of Star Wars becoming more like that and that sequence just being the tip of the iceberg.

One petty detail that really bugged me was that Pershing wears regular ol' glasses. Glasses. In Star Wars! Not neat goggles, not a cool visor, not cybernetic eyes, not even cloned eyes for the cloning researcher.

And yes, you are absolutely right about Andor. Like it's kind of embarrassing for The Mandalorian to even try and engage with any kind of political, ethical, or moral theme after Andor.

as for that whole plot line, I'll wait to see what becomes of it. Is the girl who betrayed him going to take the equipment back to someone so they can make Snoke or something

That whole scene with Grogu escaping the temple and Jedi Jar Jar getting him out was awesome. It was what, ~30 years between that scene and when the Mandalorian show actually starts up, right? They could have an entire spinoff show on what was going on with Grogu during that time.

the only part about episode 6 that i didn't like was that Din picks like 4 random battledroids out of thousands and one of those happened to be one with the virus, other than that i thought it was fun and full of imagination design-wise... i'd totally live on the jack black/lizzo planet!

i liked how it was mostly a lighthearted episode cause it needed to be to balance out the rampant destruction of episode 7

and i don't care if IG-12 is designed to sell toys, that shit was hilarious

Only thing that really stood out to me as bad was that Moff Gideon was tracking Mando after he escaped. Why'd he let him just stroll into his clone chamber and destroy all of them? He couldn't have faced him before he got there so that they'd be out of danger?

Also, I saw online somewhere, previous Gideon's had a mustache and this one didn't, so its possible that this one was a clone and the real one is out there somewhere.

^Yeah that is what I am saying. Last season (and S1), Gideon had a mustache. The one in this season that allegedly escaped from New Republic custody did not have a mustache. So maybe he's a clone and just hasn't grown his mustache yet?
