The mother fucker just went zone the entire game against Duke and was like “hope we don’t foul out!”

Nothing he did this season made me think he was good at coaching basketball. I know he’s had success and I’m not claiming he’s a terrible coach. But he did a pretty terrible job this year. Almost as if he realized he fucked up the roster, was looking at another complete rebuild (as in, 10 new players next year), and didn’t wanna be here, and was looking for a way out by December.

To be clear, I’m not shitting on anyone that got caught up in the hype and bought Wade’s shit. But when you really look back at this season and what Wade did…pretty fucking unimpressive. And not just bad luck. Mismanaging games. Getting curb stomped by team that weren’t even making it to the Sweet 16. Having a trash ass defense. Like, every bit as bad as Gott’s defenses. Throwing the team under the bus for the last 2 months. A total clusterfuck and it was embarrassing and i never really liked his schtick but was willing to put up with it if we were winning. And then he quit winning when the schedule got tough.

His "success" at LSU was them just throwing a shit ton of money at elite recruits before that was legally allowed. And by success i mean 0 SEC tournament championships and a single sweet 16(that he did not coach the team in because he was suspended the entirety of the tournament.) Honestly not that great when you have multiple top 10 recruiting classes.

You could argue that his LSU team was at its best when he wasn't coaching the games!

What I saw this year was enough to convince me he will never win a Title, which is ultimately what this is all about

Just a bad coach who doesnt understand what he sees on the floor so instead of trying to change anything in game he just lets it play out and hopes for the best. He understands the high level in-season stuff about as well as a knowledgeable fan who pays attention to what is going on but he's slow to make changes and what changes he does make are arbitrary bullshit and not tailor-made adjustments, which is to say he's not a value add at all

I dont know if he's even better than Gottfried but they are very similar. The difference is Gott's teams would at least show up at the end of the year when the games mattered and I do think at some level he understood the game and knew what was going on, he just didnt give a shit about the team playing defense for 95% of the season

We have embraced analytics and I know analytics is something Wade preached. He’s a true data guy just like us. I’ve plugged in the numbers to excel and done multiple model runs. I have a sufficient sample size and can confidently say that Wade measures highly on the POS scale and his TURD (totally unreliable dork) quotient is off the charts.
