Well, I up and bought a Wii on EBaY. Despite my rants on this msg board against the pandemonium driven high prices that they are going for and the ppl that sell them, I couldnt wait any longer.

Those of you who predicted that the Wii craze would end by Mid-February and that you wouldnt have to get a voucher or be lucky to buy one for retail at a local store were wrong. I dont think I could have gotten one "the normal way" until at least late March. I just shelled out $320 after shipping for one and I feel like a taitor , BUT I HAD TO HAVE ONE !

Now to go out and accessorize so that I'm ready when it shows up!

wii play the game sucks pretty bad. But like someone said, as an add on to another wiimote, I guess it isn't too bad. I can't see myself throwing it back in anytime soon though.

its been released elsewhere for a while now, and its reviews are higher than wii sports reviews. i cant see myself being interested in these games more than the sports games, but it at least gives me hope that they are entertaining.

I'm having a lot of fun playing wii play so far. if only for duck hunt

ther'es probably 10 or so at target north hills as of 20 minutes ago. they were sold out at the walmart I went to this afternoon

i just played through all the mini games with a friend. it was entertaining, but only a couple seem like they'd be fun to play single-player, whereas i play wii sports single player all the time.

k, i just updated my wii and downloaded the "everybody votes" channel...and now everytime i try to go to a channel (mii, votes, weather, etc) and click Start, it goes black and just sits there. wtf is it doing?

my wii is updating now for the new channel.

got wii play today and played it with the girlfriend. the game where you're picking out people/matching was her immediate favorite. i like most of the games, but ping pong is a little disorienting.

...I've given up on getting wiiplay by this evening.

I already gave my bf some pretty badass gifts, but I'd like something to give him tonight. I'm thinking some more controller skins, or else one of the wiimote charger cradles. I've got an hour of free time today >.<

Suggestions on
- which sleeve you like best? (Have read that some makes are insanely prone to ripping)
- where might have the largest concentration of choices? I'm thinking I'll go to cary, and hit up EB, target, CC and if I have time, walmart.

Anyone having problems connecting to the Shop channel?

I've always had some problems connecting but not it just hangs on the connecting screen.

All the other channels work find and I did the update this morning, so it isn't the lack of connection.

Any ideas?

the target i went to last night had 6 copies... but it looked like they had sold a lot. they were in the back left corner of the shelf, which made it look like they had sold a lot of copies.

ya they had probably 40 or so yesterday so it looks like they've sold quite a bit.


The only thing I'm really unhappy with is in pingpong you dont play pingpong against the computer... maybe it's just cause I haven't done the 100 rally more than once, but I was really expecting to play games agains the computer.

from my experiences, ive found them pretty regularly at small video game shops (in strip malls or older malls, not regular packed malls) and places people dont think to buy video games (like compusa).

everyone goes to bestbuy/circuit city/target/walmart first, so those are the hardest places to get them.

just spend an hour on capital blvd stopping at any store that sells electronics, and chances are, you will find one. ....and be srue to ask, don't just assume that i store doesnt have it because its not out in the open.
