I am dead serious.

There is obviously nothing you could contribute to mankind. Plz to die in a fire.

If nothing else, at least hang yourself with your croakies.

Who would want to listen to the Catalinas when they can listen to Megafaun? What was I thinking? Also, lets be fair. Hanging myself with my croakies would be highly unlikely. However, if you would like to strangle me by my bow tie next time you see me feel free.

Nah man, the croakie-garrote leaves no marks.

In other news, my other band got added to a show at Slim's on Tuesday, so like, come out and shit.

Went to Motorco on Saturday for a multi-band $3 show

Got to see Soft Company play and thought they absolutely killed it...hadn't seen them before.

Antibubbles were pretty fun too.

I really hope cassette tapes come back for the ultra-hip hipster so I don't have to bitch anymore about all these kids destroying good records on their Garrard record player combination sets.

The Flaming Lips playing The Soft Bulletin in its entirety on Thursday, May 19 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. Tickets going on sale this Friday at 10 AM. It's a 2600 capacity place, so I imagine it'll sell out within minutes.

I have a buddy I can stay with in Atlanta, so I'm definitely going. Going to Mogwai in Atlanta the following night, too.

not music, but noteworthy:

Doug Stanhope, one of the world's greatest living stand-up comics, will be performing at the Pour House on Feb. 26

standing can suck for a comedy show, but of the comics worth it...

On that note, I saw Maria Bamford last night in Washington, NC in a tiny theater populated by myself, my wife, and about 50 elderly people.

I saw Stanhope at the Visualite in Charlotte last year. If anyone's ever been to the Visualite, they know what I mean.

It was worth it.

saw lucero last night in texas.

saw someone get arrested in the crowd, three people deep from the stage mid-song for the first time in my life.

i now know texas takes the dick move of shaking up beer, spraying it, and throwing a bottle pretty seriously.

I won tickets to see Steep Canyon Rangers at Lincoln Theater this Saturday.

Anyone vouch for them being worth seeing?

I mean I'll probably go either way. Free is free.

Stanley Clarke tonight on campus. I know a lot of people may not appreciate that, since pitchfork hasn't dickridden any of his stuff recently, but it should be fucking amazing.

My brother played some wack ass thing at the church of scientology in LA this past december and he was there on the front rocking out hard as fuck to the cheesiest music i've ever heard. It was like covers of normal pop songs with re-written lyrics to reflect scientology.

stevie wonder also

^x6 I was there. Good show all 'round. Even got to drag my non-indie-listening roommate along and he loved Lonnie Walker, so... yeah.

Wish Birds still had Craig with them, though. But perhaps I'm just not as big a fan of psych rock as I am of some of their more vocal-heavy older material.
