Finally back from Topsail

The wedding was amazing!! Perfect weather, wonderful people, everything fell together just perfect. We even got a standing ovation from all the drunk Marines partying on the beach during the ceremony

Thank you so much JT3bucky for DJing. My family can't stop talking about how amazing you were and how much they liked that game you had us play

And I can't believe it but Story Photographers already has us up on their website!! That was so fast

Everything was just so great. Apparently 30 minutes before the ceremony was set to begin some of the drunk Marines got into a fistfight and the cops came and it was a big mess. Poor occamsrezr was stressing out wondering what the Marines would do once the ceremony began but they were great! They even handed us beers after the ceremony was done hahaha.

If anyone wants vendor recommendations I've got plenty now

The nacho bar was a HUGE hit. Even the caterer was like, "We brought enough chips for 200 people and we're almost out ." He said he's thinking of including it as a regular catering option now because it was so popular and easy for him to set up.

Can you send me info through PM or something on your nacho bar? I, no joke, would really like to have a nacho cheese fountain at my rehearsal or wedding.

We have yet to pick our songs for the ceremony. We are so clueless on this kinda stuff.

Also, I need to pick up some groomsmen gifts. I've thought of getting them each a flask and a fifth of their fav liquor, but 2 of them aren't really drinkers anymore. Anyone else got any cool or unique suggestions? All of the things I've seen online that are designed for groomsmen gifts are kinda blah IMO

We ended up doing zero ceremony music. But it was on the beach so I doubt it was missed.

For groomsmen gifts he got them ties from Cyberoptix.

^^^^^ Hell yeah, soon as the ceremony is over is when the party starts. Gotta start it right!

I've been struggling with groomsmen/women gifts too since they're all very different people. I'll end up doing something individual and personal for each, but thinking of something has not been easy.

I ordered from Accent and Petals earlier this year- I ordered the natural rose looking ones and just mixed colors of the sunflower looking ones. I really like them. My only complain was that it took almost 3 months for the flowers to come in. I knew the flowers were coming from the Philippians and it would take longer than normal but they miswrote my mailing address twice so it was a big headache.

My wife and I did.

As soon as "You may now kiss the bride", 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' started up

Another funny thing: Wedding was outside. We had a table with little cheap sunglasses with the hot pink/hot yellow/etc bands. Sign on the table read "So you don't get blinded by our love". Wife got the idea off of stylemepretty I think. I hate that damn website....

I got all of mine Gerber Multi-Tools.

Might not be personalized as much as some other gifts, but I always use mine and I figured it was something they could all get some use out of. If you're a homeowner/sportman/handy person, you'll understand. I always have that thing on me so I figured they could all use one

I just have quite a few groomsmen gifts in the cabinet that I almost never use (Flask, personalized beer mug, etc). Sometimes the alcohol related ones are quite overplayed, especially if your friends aren't raging alcoholics

My husband and his groomsmen are all big disc golfers so he got them all disc golf bags and we filled them with discs, water bottles, towel embroidered with there nicknames, tshirts to wear to the rehearsal dinner and then one thing unique and personable to each of them. Final costs was probably around $100 a person. We probably spent more than the average person does for a groomsmen gift but we with it being an out of town wedding we knew they encountered a lot of costs to come and be in the wedding- plus they loved the gift so it made it worth every penny.

hahahaha wtf.

So I had splurged on some nice letterpress thank you cards for the wedding. Today I opened them up to start writing my thank yous and one of them was already written in Here is what was in the card:

I don't think they meant to send this to me They better send me a replacement card or else someone's not getting a thank you note lol.
