I'm not sure if you understand how this works (it seems you do not).... but regardless of the time frame, you spent the exact same amount of time of your life sitting on your ass watching this show as everyone else who watched the entire series. And some may argue that you actually gave up a good bit more to watch this show in that time frame than those who watched it over several years.

i tend to think a lot about what happens next so if i watched the show over 6 years, i would have spend a lot more time than watching it all in last 2 months!

The Lost writers just throw in random dialogue/events for the sake of a dramatic moment in episodes just to draw out the series, without the ability or intent to resolve it or make sense of said dialogue/event.

Thats called lazy writing in my book, not "leaving it open to interpretation" or whatever a Lost fanboy would say to attempt and justify it.

god dammit. i myself have said i wish they would've cleared a few things up. they didn't leave some things open to interpretation. they just ran out of time and didn't address everything. nobody disagreed with that on sunday, and no one's disagreeing now. a lot of people overlook those things because they enjoyed the overall execution and message of the show regardless. there is no point in continuing to come into this thread posting about how you think it's shitty writing. no one cares what you think. you're being just as annoying as you think we are for defending the show. and if your intent is to get lost fans riled up on the internet, then good for you. go tell your buddies about that. i'm sure they'll be impressed.

i'd be willing to bet that most tv shows that aren't sitcoms have probably seen their audiences decrease over the same course of time as LOST. and that data is incomplete. there are 18 episodes in season 6. the viewer totals for the season 6 finale were probably pretty damn high considering only the oscars and super bowl were more expensive for commercial time. i'm sure it probably wasn't as high as seasons 1 and 2, but still.

^^^That chart is irrelevant. Amount of viewers has very little to do with the quality of a show. The Wire did not get a lot of viewers and was almost cancelled after three seasons. End of discussion.

in a nutshell, the biggest thing i took from it was the importance of the relationships we form with other people while we're alive. we all have profound effects on the people we're connected with just like the characters on the show. what each person takes from it is going to be subjective though, so the answer to your question will be different if you ask someone else who posts in this thread, and i'm sure i'll find something new when i watch the series over again.

the origins of dharma supply drops, pregnancy problems, and walt's powers have nothing to do with what i would've gotten out of this show. that's why, although it might be interesting to have a few things cleared up (which some will be), i just don't care that much about the bumps in the road along the way, and i don't care that some people who continue to post in this thread have such a huge problem with it.

i watched the first 2 or 3 episodes of V and quit after i decided that show was a steamy pile of shit. i didn't continue posting in the V thread after i stopped watching just to complain and tell the people who liked watching it how much their show sucked.
