the shipments don't usually come on sundays to CC, BB and those places. They usually get them during the week and hold them til sunday.

does not matter when they get them, just when someone looking for one can buy one, and the answer is Sunday

Fucking WarioWare. The dancing mini-game boss stage is killing me, I just can't do it. My lack of rhythm has finally caught up to me in the gaming world

It wouldn't surprise me if Mario Party 8 were pushed back. It's three weeks away and hardly any new information has been released. It would mean that March would be one hell of a dry month for the Wii though.

it's been dry since everyone beat zelda. it would be nice to have a real game rather than all these mini game compilations.

i have yet to understand what is so great about warioware. people just talk about how it's great but never explain. what exactly is it anyway? is it more of a party game or can you play it by yourself and still have fun?

^^ive had the GBA version and DS version and played the gamecube one. it is good for both single player and multiplayer (though obviously multi is always better).

the good thing about it is that it is simple, but frantic. the games are you usually pretty silly too which adds a bit to the fun. think of it as a slew of silly mario party minigames coming at you at 100mph.

single player has you going through increasingly fast rounds to beat X amount of stages and then fight an extended boss battle.

wario ware's good. usually i'll start out with 3-4 people playing the rope cutting game, then a crowd of people gradually pours into my room and we have to switch to survival mode.

i still prefer wii sports bowling for multiplayer entertainment.

gamespot has a developer diary where EA goes into detail about how the remote responds to the way players swing in tiger 07.

Nintendo has been subjecting its fanbase to dry seasons since the N64. It wont change with the Wii because game developers didnt believe the $$ and popularity was with the Wii until very recently. I dont blame them considering how poorly marketed and thought out the N64 and GC were compared to PS's & Xbox's.

Beginning about 8-9 month from now we will feast because the developers will have had the time and $$ approved to make qualtiy Wii games. Until then, get lotsa practice with filler games like Wario Ware ,Wii play, and that horrible excuse for a *new* Monkey Ball game. I guarantee you in the long run no one will remember these filler games, but the Kart, Tiger, SquareEnix -type Wii games will go down in gaming history....

I am actually glad I waited, b/c after zelda/wii sports, it seems like wii is in serious need of games

no mario, mario party, mario kart, smash bros, it really seems like nintendo/game developers didn't have a whole hell of a lot of faith in the wii

well there wasnt much need to try too hard to get one if you werent interested in zelda and wii sports, but i dont really see an advantage to waiting to get one. to each his own though. i've barely made a dent in zelda, only played about half a season in madden, and have grown a bit weary of wii sports, and i'm still glad i waited outside target for 2 hours on launch day to get one.

i am glad there's a decent list of games to look forward to. tiger woods, mario party, mario kart, mario galaxy, metroid, and the inevitable baseball game...i'm still interested in how they'll pull off a bball game though. i usually only play sports games on consoles, so those are the ones i'm most concerned with as far as wii gameplay. baseball is self-explanatory, and i think they handled football well with madden, but basketball is hard to really fathom how it could be done in an intuitive way. other than shakin the wiimote to do a crossover... thats about the only thing i can think of that makes a whole lot of sense.

^^wtf are you talking about?

There's overwhelming evidence that Nintendo does have faith in the system. Just because all of the major franchises aren't out within the first six months doesn't mean shit. Games take time to develop.

Except for Mario Kart, everyone of the franchises you listed are expected to be out by the end of the year.

You're right. Here's the launch lineup they SHOULD have had:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Wii Sports
Mario Party 8
Mario Kart
Warioware
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime 3
Luigi's Mansion 2
Starfox Wii
Super Mario Land 3
Metroid Prime 4
Kirbwii's Adventure
The Legend of Zelda: Choco-choco-chunk Adventure
Wiice Climbers Exxtreme
Donkey Kong Jungle BWiit
Earthbwiiound 4
Metroid Prime 6

Oh, and Wii Play. Definitely Wii Play.

I think that would be a solid launch.

Any news or speculations on a new Earthbound? The N64 version never came out and I didn't see anything for the GC, but that crap was awesome on the SNES (the best system ever).

$40 is not full retail. I only opened it last night, and it's the same game as you'd buy in a store.
