Why would you call to tell someone you're not using their service? Unless you're just doing it to be nice or something, I don't think it's really required

I let them know that I would tell them our decision regardless of what it was.. I don't want to leave anyone hanging

There's really only one guy that I think will care, but I don't want to be all dodgey and ignore someone's follow-up calls :\

Although I really have the urge to call the dude from Island Sound and tell him, "YOU SUCK" then hang up. /immature

Yeah Island Sound can go fuck themselves

I feel like I'm not a demanding bride at all, but when I ask if you're opposed to a must play/DO NOT play list, and you ask what we would not want played, and I say "the entire beach music genre, and 'Carolina Girls' being played would be one of the few things that day to truly piss me off'".... Don't say to me, "Well what if other people want to hear it???"

I am pretty lenient when it comes to people listening to the types of stuff they want, within reason. But for real dude? When both of us straight up hate beach music, HATE, don't even try to suggest that we need to suck it up and play it for the old people. Besides, the old people we're inviting don't like it I can count on one hand how many people I think would actually shag.

Oh, and then that dude tried impressing us by saying how he picked a couple's exit song on a whim... "Walking on Sunshine"

You know what I think of when I hear that song? Allison from Intervention, huffing keyboard duster.

Hahaha wow yeah that's ridiculous. If I don't want you to play a song then I don't want you to play a song. How hard is that?

That's completely crazy. Our DJ had NO problems with a Must Play/ Do Not Play list (they were the ones who suggested it). I thought that was pretty standard.

^^^ i thought that was extremely humorous too

so get this.

today i was trying to call and get things together for the final numbers, there are still about 30 people who have not rsvped at all.

about 10 of those told me today that they dont know when theyll be coming.
i got pissed.
told them that i had to know by today and they were like "oh well ill let you know" and that was it.

are you effing serious?

so i just went ahead, went through and figured who i thought would come, who i thought wouldn't (apparently old people think that not sending in an RSVP means no)

and just gave a damn number. (i added 5 to my tally)

i just want to be done with this.

this is the ONLY wedding stress i've been having.

yeah surprisingly following up on those who haven't RSVPed was very stressful for me as well....i had to personally reach out to the delinquent folks

in fact one friend had the nerve to ask me when the wedding was...i was like 'didn't you receive the invitation' and he was like 'i misplaced it'

FOR REAL?

I really can't wait to see pictures from Joie's wedding. I feel like it's been some loooooooooooooong episode of a tv wedding show (between updates on here and whatever pops up on my newsfeed) and I'm just waiting for the spectacular conclusion. Like a spectator watching from the sidelines. I can't wait to see the dress!

its TWW's version of the Royal Wedding

I got invited to a wedding via a Facebook invite which is perfectly cool. But then somebody that hadn't RSVP'd yet via Facebook said he misplaced the invite. LOL wat?

Olga! I don't know her last name, but google her

Before you listen again/read the lyrics, let me explain why I love it. First, it's a really pretty song. Second, even though it talks about death I think it sends a really good message - life flies by you and you should just live like you want and just make people realize you love them and care about them to the point of where you wouldn't have to have a lengthy goodbye. I don't know if that makes sense. Also, I love the other stuff they talk about (faces, space, happiness )

I just want to know upfront if it's too heavy, ya know

http://youtu.be/5zYOKFjpm9s

Lyrics:

One, two, three, four -
Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun don'-go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do You Realize - Oh - Oh - Oh
Do You Realize - that everyone you know
Someday will die -

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun don'-go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize

Hey don't feel bad, mine is going to talk about death

I like the choices though... is mostly everything ready or do you have lots to do still?

I talked to Eric about our first dance song. He wanted "Then" by Brad Paisley, which I'm fine with - but then I started thinking about it, and I really don't have a super emotional connection to it. I mean, we've listened to it together but it was just randomly in the car and we would be like, "oh, pretty song." After I mentioned it he said he kinda felt the same way. Sooooo... we decided to go with a song that we both have a connection to (for a few reasons)

"Question" by the Old 97's

^That's a great choice. And the length is perfect. Ours wasn't *that* long, but it felt like we were up there forever alone. Friends of ours chose a longer song, and invited the bridal party to join about 2 minutes into it to counter some of the awkward alone dancing. But with a 2ish minute song, the length is perfect.

Yeah I realized how short it was when I looked up the youtube vid

But every time I hear it I remember his proposal, then I remember when we went to their concert and heard it for the first time together, then I remember something he did once with this song that was very sweet. He thinks of the same things, too, so it's perfect

Backstory: the singer used this song to propose to his wife... AWWWW
