I agree we got shitty bounces today, but I was really disappointed in the ULTRA conservative offense all day. By the end UL knew we weren't going to throw it more than 5 yards downfield. Blame Canada all you want, but DD could have stepped in.

Need to increase the tempo too. We play like an NFL team milking a 20 pt 4th quarter lead all the time.

^yeah some very questionable play calling. especially when we hear stuff like "we're keeping it vanilla, we're not opening the playbook up much vs the cupcakes" and today the offense generally looked more vanilla than ever.

If your qb cant hit a 5 yard out, theres not much playcalling can do for the passing game. He missed a td to hines and had some really awful pocket presnce on dropbacks all day then missed wrs by a mile on shortish throws. Even the long pass to samuels in the flat took a year to reach him on the drive we punted from the 32

Not saying I want PJ over DD as it's too soon to make a statement like that, but DD has to get a win over a "good" team at some point. His best wins so far are UNC and their horrible D last year and UCF in the bowl game.

You are making meaningless comparisons about things coaches have no control over. If you're going to compare coaches, the first year is the most useless point to pick. Choose the 4th or 5th year once the coach has had time to train a full team of players. I'm sorry if you're too narrow minded to recognize the simple fact that the (lack in) similarity of styles style and (lack of) talent left by the previous coach has a huge impact on how the first year goes.

Who cares if we win 1 or 2 games in the first year? Would a 5-7 season two years ago really have made you complain less today? no. because you are not being reasonable and do not understand what it takes to win football games or the simple fact that the other 8 teams on our schedule are trying to win just as much as we are.

He's shown we are on the right trajectory and unless we regress, any reasonable fan would just be patient and let the program slowly improve.
