I think this one is SO cute and might get it if the top has a strap version.

Keep or return? I got this in my size at Target for $17.49. Would it be acceptable to wear to a wedding?

for the price, keep. that's awesome.

for a wedding, it would depend on how you accessorize, how formal the wedding is, etc. the polyester sort of casual-izes it, so that's why it depends on accessories and such.

I'd say yes if the wedding is in the next 2 months.

Poop, the wedding craziness is probably going to be in the summer. BF's cousins and friends have been getting married like crazy. Thought I could get away with it during the summer with a white purse and shoes

maybe an evening wedding with black shoes...but not for a summer wedding and i'm sure you'll find another dress.

i'm sure you can. totally.

people can "get away" with much more than they think they can.

its all about presentation. (well mostly.... dont show up in jeans or anything )

um...no white shoes. ever. with that dress. silver or gold shoes, yes.

sorry, but with a color that rich, you really can't pair white with it. you might be able to throw a pale colored wrap with it to summer it up, but i'm not sure.

Ok, silver or gold shoes. bright colored wrap. If that doesn't work, blame my lack of fashion sense on being an engineer.

I hate shopping for dresses, I find one that fits and then people have to deal with it, generally.

um...double post, but i wanted a separate post to ask this question.

so, since i have super-short hair and it's cold out there (and even colder in ny, where i'm probably moving), i need/want to start wearing hats. but the few hats i've tried leave my hair in a frizz/flyaway mess. not to mention the hat head.

do any ladies have suggestions on hat styles that are warm but not so frizz-inducing? the only style i've tried is the snugger fitting toboggan style.

lol, no, no fur, thanks.

yeah, i have no idea what hats are gonna be warmest, or if i should just get ear warmers and maybe a less close-fitting hat that will at least cover my head and reduce the cold. i have no clue...

Just got these.

I don't think they'll work with anything other than jeans/pants though.

It's so rare for me to find heels I can wear for more than 5 minutes without being in excruciating pain

So when I do I just roll with it

I'll agree with your point about Naturalizers

But I have yet to find a pair of those that actually fit me.

Just got back from a shopping trip. Ann Taylor Loft has an additional 50% off of all their sales clothes. JCrew is 50% off of sale (they're only advertising 30% online) and an additional 15% off for students. Banana Republic is 30% off their sales right now, but starting on the 1st, it's 50% off their sales.

try circa by joan & david.. some of their styles are totally hit or miss but i find cute work shoes all the time. i'm more a fan of the selection at dsw over zappos

this brand of shoes never hurts my feet and are comfortable all day long. granted if you're standing in ANYTHING all day your feet will hurt but i do a moderate amount of standing and walking and im fine

http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/collection.jsp?searchType=brand&new=true&brand=dsw4brand1500018

http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722668538/page/1.html

they come in bright yellow boxes so they're really easy to spot in dsw

4^ Maybe it's just me, but nothing about that top makes me want to have it. Even if I did have the chest to fill it out. That style in general is not attractive to me whatsoever.

I'm afraid I have to agree. It wouldn't be nearly so bad without the rhinestones and the connecting strings theyre on... and maybe if it didn't cut so deep....
it looks like toned down stripped meets senior prom....

sorry

[Edited on February 1, 2009 at 2:44 AM. Reason : but, i tend to be conservative about clothes, and i hate rhinestones]

Yea I need to tan too.

Also I need to find a new fun spring and summer color for my toes. I'm getting tired of fuchsia and burnt orange.
