The only thing Tab Ramos is known for is being elbowed by a vastly superior soccer player. That was pretty random even given the title of this thread.

I did actually. I've been a Jon Busch fan for awhile so I figured I'd watch the game even though I don't normally follow the MLS much.

Just to point out how much classier CONMEBOL is than CONCACAF - all the Copa America games are available live on YouTube.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Didn't see that coming. Weird time to fire him. Wonder who we'll get to replace him?

Please fire Gulati next...

He's still a dumb shit for extending that contract last summer. I wonder how much money that's going to cost the USSF

^was just thinking the same thing. why keep him on for another year? if you're going to make a decision, make it after the world cup.

i'm hoping klinsmann, is he still available? i think michael bradley will still start, he's still one of our better players, even if he played kinda shitty in the gold cup.

^^considering he is one of our best players, doubtful... however, I bet it means edu gets a fair shot now. For some reason, he never could get any PT with bradley

a lot of guys saying it's probably Klinsmann. I'm okay with that, if he gets the control he wanted and blows up our system top to bottom. May not pay immediate dividends but we'll be set up better for the future than if we just paper over the cracks with another successful MLS coach

23 year old that plays for a bundesliga club and had a cup of coffee in the EPL. get him out of the lineup.

Claudio Reyna is in charge of youth technical development and he's been trying to get the Ajax/Holland training model going here.

I don't think they wanted to keep him, but they couldn't find anyone to replace him. They didn't just come out and extend his contract right away. There was a while there where there was some uncertainty. I think it was kind of like when NC State hired Sidney Lowe as basketball coach. A lot of coaches were offered the job and said no, or took time to think about it and then said no, so we got stuck with coach Lowe.

I think this is very good. Someone who has had success as a coach and player both internationally and at the club level in Europe. If he doesn't get run off for some stupid reason, this could be a major turning point in the direction of US soccer.

I'm more interested in what he can do with the youth system in the US, and how much power he'll be given to control development. Hopefully, he can be the coach today, and then move higher up the USSF ladder tomorrow.

No excuses now.

It will be interesting to see where we stand now that we have a manager with actual experience.
