i think the level of crazy definitely has to do with the cat:person ratio. if i lived alone, i'd be slightly crazy with 3 cats. however, hubs and i together lower the cat:person ratio a good bit, so we're not that crazy.

one of my best friends took in a few strays that were preggers and after they both had kittens at one point they her and her husband looking at 12 cats, but now they are just down to 3.
