Just an idea, but the last episode got me thinking... I've thought Locke was bad from day 1, he just didn't seem like a good guy. He changed my opinion throughout the two seasons and I liked him alot more as a character but lately hes been very aggressive to everyone. He's also being verrry suspicious, changing all the locks for the guns, getting strangely close to claire and the baby, backing down when they met the others... I think hes going bad. I also think if he does, Charlie is going to be the one to figure it out and start another confrontation between the two of them.

it seems he may be adopting the same idea towards the others: if they don't bother us i wont let anyone bother them, hence why he stepped down so quickly and locked up the guns.
