He said that once we started recruiting him he started looking up some vids of us on YouTube and liked what he saw in terms of how we played. Maybe we should start uploading highlight vids from every game. Get Wolfpack Pigskin to create some vids with new age hip hop and rock music that the youngsters like.

Wow...Ellis off the team would be bad news for us...he was a big recruit and our other starting corner. That's two starters down on defense, both could really hurt our already sub par defense against the pass.

^^^ If what you're saying about Ellis is true, Jarvis Byrd maybe getting a lot more reps than anyone had anticipated. Who else would be a likely candidate to step in and fill the whole left by Ellis? (this is all assuming what ^^^ said is true, which at this point is a big assumption)

I love the fact that O'Brien doesn't put up with bullshit like Chuck.

But I hate the fact that we lose a talent like Ellis early in his career.

Damn, Ellis did look pretty solid last year. Not great speed, but super quick.

I really liked what I saw out of Gary Grant and CJ Wilson this spring though. Not overly worried if the Ellis thing is true.

seriously though, who remembers anything ellis did last year besides the INT near the end of the UNC game?

Supposedly Jarvis Byrd is the real deal(our staff loves him), and CJ Wilson/Grant were here for the Spring.....so i think along the CB lines, we'll be OK....we hardly ever run 3 CB's out there anyways. We usually do the 3-3-5 thing where we throw an extra safety in there.

Considering he rarely played last year, this is a pretty confused statement. He might be one of the four best in the secondary, behind Morgan and Johnson, but the entire defense? No

Graham's problem was grades so I am not sure. I thought this situation would deal more with behavior than grades so I don't think it's him. I heard it was someone who wasn't really contending for a starting job.

Someone fucking post what they heard about Ellis. He said himself he left for personal reasons, not because he was kicked off the team. Spill the beans, even if its a big lie.

And regarding TJ, he was not suspended this spring, and it was said that he would be back this fall as long as he did well enough in school. kthx

According to ESPN Insider K Michael Palardy committed to Tennessee and WR Andrew Carswell committed to Pitt. I didn't know we offered either of them. Below are the articles:

Panthers reel in tall wideout Andrew Carswell

Andrew Carswell, a receiver from Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, Pa.), has accepted an offer from Pittsburgh for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Carswell chose the Panthers over offers from Maryland, Boston College, Wisconsin, Duke, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford and North Carolina State.

Carswell told the Tribune-Review, "I felt like I had a connection with Pitt," he said, "and I wanted to stay close to home."

He totaled 38 receptions for 686 yards (18.1 average) and six touchdowns as a junior.

Pittsburgh has 11 pledges.

Tennessee Vols capture top 2010 kicker Michael Palardy

Michael Palardy, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound kicking prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), has given a Class of 2010 commitment to the Vols over LSU.

Alabama, Syracuse, Miami-Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Stanford and Auburn have also offered.

"Knoxville itself is really beautiful and it felt like a home away from home," Palardy told the Sun-Sentinel. "I know I'll be around the right people and with the coaching staff and the facilities, I was blown away. I took a look around and I found no comparison to Tennessee."

The talented kicker finished his junior season with 76-78 on extra points, four out of five on field goals and 98 percent of all kickoffs were touchbacks.

Tennessee now has 12 pledges.

Moore and Amerson would be really big for us. Moore is set to announce this week and I thought Amerson was close to committing but hopefully he won't wait too long. Wilkins looks like a solid bet for us barring UNC offering(grew up a UNC fan). If we do miss on Wilkins I think we might offer AJ Marshall. Hunter is going to wait out the year, but I think we're in a good position. Hopefully he can pull his grades up(admitted that his grades were bad his freshman year but have gotten better each year) because he's a big-time prospect. If he can't pull his grades up, expect to see him in the purple and gold over at ECU.

AJ Marshall was at our camp trying to earn a scholarship offer, so I don't think we can write him off just yet. I think if we offer you'll see us slide up his list to the top 2 with Wake. But I think right now we're going to focus on Amerson, Johnson, and Wilkins and probably take the first 2 of those 3 to commit.

And yes our scholarships are dwindling, which is why they really pushed for TC to commit asap. Also look for us to make a call on a QB this week per one of the recruits at camp(stated we were letting the QBs know about an offer this week). I wouldn't be surprised if we had called Peter Thomas and asked if he was solid to ASU before we moved on. We might have even done the same with Tyler Brosius, esp. after UVA took another QB commit recently. So it should be interesting to see who the coaches liked the most.

Another guy we offered according to ESPN Insider committed to Duke.

Blue Devils score linebacker Kelby Brown

Head coach David Cutcliffe and his staff at Duke have landed commitment No. 10 in Christian (Charlotte N.C.) linebacker Kelby Brown.

His Class of 2010 offer list also includes Wisconsin, Northwestern, East Carolina, Syracuse, UCLA, Arkansas, Boston College, Indiana, North Carolina State and Louisville.

That would be weird if something were to happen with Thomas because I thought TOB 'honored' the commitment of players to other schools. I wouldn't be mad if he changed his mind, I just thought the coaching staff frowned on that sort of thing.

I think it depends on the player. If they say that they are open to hearing what other schools have to say, then why not go after the player. Remember that last year Clemson commit Quandon Christian took an official visit to State. It didn't work out for us, but that's one example of us continuing to recruit a player committed to another school.
