fyi I think most people are stoked at the way this was handled

I, however, wish the same care was taken to take other people (you know, the ones who haven't bombed crowded sporting events and then killed another guy trying to catch them) into custody as unharmed as possible.

They clear an area of federal officers so he won't hurt anyone, yet a drawn weapon trained at your face is now pretty much a part of an officer's uniform during any arrest.
