How does the Favored/Slightly Favored/Even work?

I keep getting discrepancies from what it says at the load screen to what the opponents see, and what it says at the score screen.

Also: The matchmaking/ladder/seasons system sucks ass for team games.

League lock coming June 5th.

Getting promoted to diamond in 3v3 and 4v4 will probably take 1000 points and with these randoms I think it may be impossible.

I started playing on low about a month ago. Laptop runs a lot cooler and my late game Sotis is stronger than ever.

Btw you need to play Sotis again. they recently added a lot of new characters that are slowly getting balanced

buddy of mine was set on torchwood 2 so i'll probably get that instead of d3. I have an LOL account, I just never know what character to play. New Sotis is a lot more fun than LOL ever was for me. Probably would be a lot more fun if I had a character that suited my style, I knew what the items were, and was playing against people of equal MOBA skill as me. I was playing with my old roommate for a while, and I'd wreck people on his skill level with every character I'd switch to.

I'm not sure anything is more fun than making shit players RQ after you kill them with egon

Hey y'all. It seems Alkatraz hasn't updated in here in awhile, so just wanted to remind everyone that we are still running barcrafts and SCTuesday's at Blinco's in N Raleigh. The next barcraft will be this coming Saturday evening for the GSL Code S finals. Come drink beer and watch the Koreans duke it out for eternal glory!

We're also still running SCTuesday's every Tuesday night at Blinco's. It's bring-your-own-rig, although there are generally one or two spare for people to use. It's a huge range of leagues from diamond down to wood league, but we play lots of team/FFA/customs as well. Several people have managed to snag beta keys (pre-order HotS at Gamestop or Amazon for a free key), so beta matches will be underway before long. Come out and play a few matches with us, or if you're stuck at home hop in the channel (SCTuesdays).

Anyone playing the HotS beta?

I've been playing, not to bad some of the new units have helped. Anyone planning to get the expansion? Anyone have the beta and want to play some? Let me know. Don't have a ton of time lately but try to hop on and play some every now and then.

yeah i preordered it. i like the no Siege Research but I don't see that sticking. I also have never come across people using Vipers on the ladder. Does anyone ever use their abduct thing?

I use them but mostly in situations where I have the game won.

I use the cloud not abduct. Wish they were a tier 2.5 unit.

I never use swarm host. But I've gone back to playing mostly random for the beta instead Of Zerg. Terran plays identical and toss pretty close.

The only time i enjoyed playing zerg was when i built 12+ guardians to tear up a base in sc1. In 2 i tried a baneling rush and a roach rush and failed miserably both times.

Anyway, cannot WAIT to pick this up tomorrow.

The heart of the swarm campaign is equal to, if not better than wings of liberty.

Cutscenes, talking, i listen to it all. Rare for me in games.

Everything else aside, Blizzard has one gift - they know how to fucking tell a story.

Yeah, D3 did bum me out a bit. The two starcraft campaigns have been fantastic though.
