Looks like the heat index was up to 122° yesterday. I was outside from 8am till 530pm at an autox. Not doing anything really athletic, but I wouldn't be surprised if I lost a few pounds through sweating, despite the 7 20oz bottles of water and 3 32oz bottles of gatorade I drank

As I get in better shape, I'm finding that I sweat FAR MORE than I used to... it's annoying. Maybe my body got used to living in super low humidity area and now that I'm back in NC it hasn't acclimated itself to that... ????

I think many if not most people sweat more when they get in better shape. Something about your body becoming more efficient at cooling itself. I know I sweat more than I used to.

How does sweating more = more efficient at cooling itself? That sounds less efficient to me.

I think we sweat more when we're in good shape b/c we have a higher metabolism. More energy being burned = overall hotter. Or am I way off here?
