All those people that voted for him, he's going to lose their support eventually.
They voted for him to give them jobs and economic security, and all he's doing is playing footsies with Russia. Even if he wanted to devote time to the Rust Belt, he can't because he's constantly mired in these scandals and is spinning his wheels defending himself, whether right or wrong, against all these stories. 5/16/2017 1:54:00 PM |

So instead of actually trying to come up with some logical defense for what's happening in the WH right now, your only strategy is to call people names and keep repeating "fake news." Clever.
guess you might as well own this method of approach now and carry it with you all the way to Trump's resignation/impeachment/arraignment/execution/whatever 5/16/2017 2:08:24 PM |

To ujustwait...what kind of goggles is it through which you view my posts?
I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying he's toast in the eyes of many of those that voted for him in the Rust Belt. Let's be honest, it's those blue collar, almost or maybe Democrats that swung his way that got him elected. I'm sure they're already looking at someone else for 2020. For them Trump isn't keeping his eye on the prize.
There are those that are going to vote for Trump no matter what, but the ones that got him elected are not those people.
Ford just announced 20k layoffs. Where's Trump in stopping that? When was the last time he had one of his flashy jobs announcements?
Do I think there is some hypocrisy in the media with the Russian reporting? Sure. I wonder if other presidents have done similar things like Trump, but everyone in that president's circle was loyal enough to not leak it? Whatever, it doesn't matter now.
What does matter is his seemingly inability to stop giving the media mountains of material. I wonder if he's doing it on purpose? That...that has to be it, right? Nobody at this level can be that stupid can they?

I'm not sure if people are intentionally missing the major differences or just echoing CNN outcry. Three major points.
1. The information wasn't put onto a private server where it was vulnerable to be stolen 2. The information was voluntarily given to the Russians 3. The US shares classified information with other countries all of the time especially those who share a battlefield
You guys were fine with the Obama era policy of working with AlQaeda in Syria sharing money and arms with them. They probably give us information in return. These are the type of rebels that would be at stake from Russia getting the information. I'm not losing any sleep over that. 5/16/2017 5:57:38 PM |

Regarding Uranium: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/mar/28/fact-checking-donald-trumps-tweets-about-hillary-c/
Quote : | "In 2010, Hillary Clinton, as secretary of state, was one of nine federal agency heads to sign off on Russia’s purchase of a controlling stake in Uranium One, an international mining company headquartered in Canada with operations in several U.S. states. It was part of a regular process for approving international deals involving strategic assets, such as uranium, that could have implications for national security. Uranium One’s U.S. mines produced about 11 percent of the country’s total uranium production in 2014, according to Oilprice.com.
But even with its control of Uranium One, Russia cannot export the material from the United States. Russia was likely more interested in Uranium One’s assets in Kazakhstan, the world’s largest uranium producer." |

Why? Do you want Russia to lose airliners to terrorists? Do you not want to work with Russia to destroy ISIS? Why do some people think Russia is a bigger enemy than ISIS? Really strange take that I haven't heard explained ever.

I realize this article was published a few minutes after my post, but I tend to get news before the major networks release it. BTW, we have no way to confirm any of these things being reported by news organizations. A lot of hearsay thus far.

1) you compare making class info more vulnerable to freely giving it away 2) i respond to that claim 3) "WHOA YOU THINK RUSSIA IS WORSE THAN ISIS??"
For the confirmation, it was more the 2nd part that mattered. For the first part, it was more that Israel refused to comment on their part so we're forced to rely on "hearsay", while Trump gave a first hand confirmation of his part. As for whether Israel "cared," if you take their diplomatic statement as some proof that they dont care, that is very naive.
As for whether he should have told and why its bad or not, lets take parties A, B, C and D.
Party A tells party B hey i trust you so here is this secret about how to protect you against party C, who is v dangerous. We (Party A) could be damaged and in more danger if this secret is given out so dont tell anyone without asking. Here comes Party D who is considered very untrustworthy by most of Parties B and (probably?) A. But Party B decides to tell D w/out asking A,whether through carelessness or noble intentions towards Party D.
If you're Party A, how do you feel about your future secret sharing with party B? How do you feel that they showed no care about potentially putting you in further danger?

The comment was well received by the pro-Trump crowd. People in "Make America Great Again" hats and Trump shirt applauded as the President slammed succumbing adversity.
"I guess that is why we won," Trump said, a reference to his 2016 election win, something the President often does....
"Adversity makes your stronger," he added. "Don't give in. Don't back down and never stop doing what you know is right. Nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy. And the more righteous your fight, the most opposition you will face."
"The people understand what I am doing and that is the most important thing," Trump said. "I didn't get elected to serve the Washington media or special interest." ...
"We've saved the second amendment," he said, after touting his work on immigration, job creation and tax reform." |

*** in all seriousness I think Trump himself is guilty of being an idiot and that is all. That said, he really needs to listen to councel (sic) and be quiet or he will eventually be questioned for obstruction.
Also, he is in charge of the DoJ obviously. What is preventing him from firing the DAG and putting an interim in place who quashed this? He obviously doesn't care about optics (stupid word needs to go away) and it is well within his Constitutional rights...

In a perverse way, we should count ourselves lucky that Trump is as terrible as he is. Think of what it has taken to get us to this point — his Twitter addiction, his bizarre loyalty to Flynn and affection for Putin, the raw exploitation of his office to enrich his family, the business dealings, whatever they were, he’s evidently trying to cover up by refusing to release his taxes.
The point is that given the character of the Republican Party, we’d be well on the way to autocracy if the man in the White House had even slightly more self-control. Trump may have done himself in; but it can still happen here." |
