Gotta beat Syracuse and then the UNC game becomes the litmus test for DD. Home game, arch rival having their best season in nearly two decades. Can't lay an egg like we did against UL and VT. The FSU game will be a disaster, but no one wins in Tally so it doesn't matter.

^^ BC played close games with FSU, Duke, and UL and hung with Clemson for most of their game. They are not a bad team, just so terrible on offense that it prevents them from being able to win.

^ I'm glad we won, but won't be blinded by the deception. The only ACC teams we beat are those with a losing record. I don't get why folks are licking his balls over a road win against BC and think they're investing too much stock into trivial things like OMG we never won at Boston and that's something Amato or O'Brien couldn't do who were both mediocre coaches. It could have more to do with timing and that BC sucks. If Doeren could beat a real team like FSU on the road then I'll give him a ton of credit.

The Doeren hate is a year too early. If we suck next year then i could at lease see how people would be very disappointed

Hard to complain the last 2 weeks since we've won

Not great teams, but we handled our business, and actually won a couple conference road games. Wake is terrible though. Played well against BC.

No matter the opponent, winning on the road in this division is far from easy. It has never been easy, it will never be easy. That we've won two road games in the division where we've historically struggled to do so says a lot. Are Wake and BC good? No. But don't act like they've been much better the other times we've lost to them in their house.

^^ Exactly, and also look at the ACC game she won. I think the only bowl eligible team he beat was UNC that year and they ended up with a 6-6 record.

^ They had a right to complain when you get blown out by ECU for the second year straight and they hand 70 points on you and we also wiped them out at their home. The difference I see was that Fedora recognized the problem which was their defense and hired a better defensive coordinator. Doeren has the same staff, Huxtable hasn't done much, and we have LOTS of good players but they mysteriously disappear when we could actually use them. With that being said I actually think Doeren beats UNC this year as he hates them as much as any State fan and will be prepared for them.

^^the Fack defense hasnt been close to as bad as UNC was. Plus, Fedora didn't fire their D coordinator till after the third year. We aren't there yet.

But Huxy aint getting fired. Defense alone hasnt been the problem. It's Heart dawg. Heart. On both sides of the ball. We lack heart, and without heart youre just not gonna beat the big boys. Hearts what we need, and Heart is what DD will figure out next year

Jalen McClendon has big time heart, and I expect him to lead us to our best season since Privs and chuck the chest shocked da world in 2002.

i can see questioning what we would do with players that are injured since those are chance occurrences of football, but thornton and hines each made personal choices that resulted in them not being here. about as useful as asking where we would be if we had a bunch of recruits we missed on.

i mean thornton has had issues before, so more trouble couldnt have been too shocking, and Hines transfer was announced back in March, coaches have had plenty of time to plan around that.
