i guess some people just can't understand how poor/one-sided officiating can seriously affect a game

there's a reason some things aren't allowed, it because it gives one team an unfair advantage, when they aren't called fairly one team can have an unfair advantage in a game. and while I'd agree that calls tend to even themselves out. THIS IS THE STANLEY FUCKING CUP FINALS there should be no one-sidedness nor should you have to earn your penalty calls, if the other team tripped, they tripped, no ifs ands or buts, it shouldn't matter how hard you've worked.

your logic is right but not when youre down by 3 goals on a powerplay with under 9 to go in a game where you havnt done shit. our chances were so slim that that was a risk we had to take. the penalty doesnt even guarantee youre gonna keep them from scoring anyway and it KILLS TIME.
