Yea, they should make a zombie movie or show with A list actors, like Brad Pitt. It will be much better, trust me.

Zombieland was pretty good

and there are plenty of great shows that don't have "A-list" actors.

Zombieland had a parody feel to it. Similar to one of my favorite zombie movies, Shaun of the Dead, any Zombie Comedy would not be expected to have A list actors, but can still deliver a fun movie to watch b/c of the comedy.

If TWD turned into a comedy, maybe you would like it more. I did laugh though when Darth Lori showed up last night, so maybe it is.

M&D hang out in the woods for a while between prison and Woodburry
Carol is depressed and wants T-Dogg 2.0's cock
T-Dogg 2.0 gets roped into a mission to go to Woodburry and bumps into M&D
Merle's racist ass traps T-Dogg 2.0, with maybe a hint of torture
Darryl does not approve, but lost his balls to do anything about it
T-Dogg escapes and kills Merle, and is now confronted by Darryl
Carol shows up, still looking for Sophia and/or a quiet spot to fingerblast, and sees T-Dogg 2.0 vs Darryl standoff
She lets them go Eiffel Tower on her, and everyone goes back to the prison happy

Roll credits, end of season 3

aren't we on T-Dogg 3.0?

Yes, T-dog #3, and it's spelled Daryl.

Oscar was not T-Dogg 2.0. Tyreese is T-Dogg 2.0 b/c Tyreese's name starts with a T. You are welcome to call Oscar O-Dogg if you want to. Plus Oscar and T-Dogg overlapped a few episodes.

Bad writing. She has the potential to be a great character, but they're making her suck.

Quote :
"Anyone else feel that Andrea's speech was out of character for her? I don't know that we've really seen anything to suggest she'd be a great leader or people-person. This the woman that shot Darryl and was prepared to end her own life."

I didn't. She has been gradually changing over time. Which I prefer much more to them just being the same characters they were day one.

She's been strong minded from the onset. She wanted to learn to shoot and take guard, and not just cook or clean. It wasn't by choice, but she had to live for quite a while with just her and Michonne (she wasn't sick the entire time). And we've seen that while comfortable going along with a group, she's not really a follower. She made decisions for herself when with the big group, and also when with Michonne. She's been very vocal about wanting to be involved all of this season, etc.

We may not have seen anything to suggest that she'd be a great leader or people-person up until now, but that doesn't mean much even in real life. There are a lot of "reluctant leaders" in the world. Those who will always let someone else take charge if they are doing so adequately enough. But if nobody is taking the lead or they're doing a horrible job, those people are capable and comfortable stepping up and filling that role. She was confident in taking the issue up with the gov. where as nobody else was. The gov. didn't do anything to help. The group was freaking out, nobody else was stepping up. So she did. I didn't think it was odd or out of character at all. Perhaps a newer side of her that we haven't seen before, but not out of left field.

And who cares that she was prepared to end her own life. That has nothing to do with being or not being a good leader.

I'm curious to know why she's cool with everything that the Governor is doing, given that her old friends were basically her family for over a year and now she acts like she barely cares about them. How is holding, torturing, and trying to kill your friends not a red flag?

I'm not sure that she is cool with it all.

She seemed upset when she found out her friends were held there. She was really upset about how the gov. put Merle and Daryl against each other. She did not know that they were there until this episode. When she confronted the gov., he sort of put it on Merle by saying that he (merle) was holding them to find out where Daryl was. So keep that in mind as well. She does not know everything that the audience knows.

I don't think she even knows that Glen was beaten, and she definitely doesn't know what the gov. did to the girl.

And while she was confronting the gov. about it, everything was going on outside. So I don't think she was cool with it so much as she was actually upset about it, but knew the situation outside needed to be handled. At the end of the day, they have a pretty good thing going in that town compared to being out on their own. If the gov. wasn't running it with the sketchy stuff going on, it would really be a great place.

The things Andrea knows about the Gov:
* He kept zombie heads in a room next to his bedroom (where she slept)
* He kept his dead zombie daughter locked in the same room
* Michonne (who she knew for 8 months as a level headed survivor) returns and exacts vengeance on the Gov
* He had Glen and Maggie hostage in the town, he knew she knew them, but didn't tell her
* He pitted Meryl and Daryl in the Thunderdome
* He's angry at Rick's group and has no qualms with shooting a living person in the head in front of everyone (bare in mind they have medical facilities that could have at least given him a humane death)

And the second he starts to behave like she's just a quick fling she gets all "Don't push me away"
She was willing to split Rick's group with Shane in Season 2 because she and Lori didn't always get along, but she's willing to hang out in a town of trigger happy goons and the Crazy Gov.

Also, I think Michonne doesn't say anything, even to her benefit, because with Lori gone there's a space missing in the crazy-female-who-makes-things-difficult role.

While that is all true, she found out about almost all of that (if not all) in the last 24hrs or so (maybe 12hrs). And the only contact she's had with him since, as far as we know, was the conversation while the crowd was outside trying to leave.

Quote :
" Michonne (who she knew for 8 months as a level headed survivor) returns and exacts vengeance on the Gov"

Is Michonne a "level headed" survivor? She had two zombies with no arms or jaws on a chain. She, as a character, has known things that would help her situation and hasn't bothered to mention them. For ex., how she handled Rick and the group. Why not mention that you know Andrea? She was a pain in the ass in how she handled the governor considering what she actually knew about the situation. I don't see Michonne as being "level headed."

We don't know anything about those 8 months except that they were together. And I have seen little to suggest to me that Michonne is level headed or rational.

Andrea didn't understand Michonne's dislike for woodbury and the gov. (because she couldn't articulate it like a level-headed person). And nor did I when you consider what she actually knew about the place and not what the audience knew (at least up until she found the bullet holes and blood on the army vehicles). So I'm not sure that her showing up and trying to kill the gov.

1) What humane manner of death can they provide that we've seen? He could smother them? Is that more humane than a single round to the head? I can't think of anything we've seen to suggest they have a more humane manner of ending somebody's life.

2) Considering what we've seen in the show as far as how quickly someone can die and turn, the results of wounds like he had, etc., I didn't see much of a problem with shooting the guy. The problem was that nobody had really seen the gov. since the raid and that he just walked away after. If Andrea (or anyone) had shot the guy and explained that there was nothing they could do for him, I wouldn't think twice about it based on what's happened in the show.

I only call Michonne Level Headed because she was able to survive on her own in the wilderness before Andrea and Woodbury. She also showed a knack for making good moral decisions by saving Andrea and taking care of her when she was clearly a burden. Despite Michonne's communication flaws, I think Andrea should have at least thought "why would Michonne risk her life to inflict so much pain on the Gov?"

And I can only assume if the town is able to keep an old man dying of cancer comfortable up until his painless death, they would be able to numb the bitten man. The only other mercy kill on the show was Dale, and he gave consent to it. With others on the show they were allowed to choose their manner of death. When death is a common occurrence, I would consider it humane to give someone you care about the choice in how they accept death, whether through infection or mercy kill. And especially for Andrea this is a big deal, she has been vocal against denying people their right to choose how they die.

For me, the aquariums, dead daughter and Daryl vs. Meryl fight would have been enough for me to skip town the second that smoke grenade was thrown.

This is where we differ. Woodbury is worth a lot of effort. If you take out the crazy of the gov. and his goons, it's a really solid place.

The heads in fish tanks thing was weird. But wasn't Daryl wearing a damn ear necklace at one point? That's pretty damn weird too. But nobody was saying that he should be kicked out of the group. Point is, people are doing some weird shit in this crazy situation. It's not the first time she has seen such weird shit.

With the daughter: is that really that crazy? A father is hoping to find a cure or treatment, so he keeps his daughter (who has turned) somewhere she can neither be hurt nor hurt anyone else? It may be naive, it may be overly hopeful, but I think it's pretty understandable. He was actively conducting research on the topic too.

Hershel kept his wife and neighbors in the barn for the same reason, and that guy knew a little about medicine. Why is Herschel viewed as being naive and the gov. is twisted or something for keeping his daughter around.

The people saying to help the guy were naive. That guy was toast, and Andrea new it. Let's say they do have pain killers or something. So they carry him somewhere more comfortable. And he takes some pain killers. Shit, let's say they let him OD. Then they have to shoot him in the head still.

Maybe she has advocated for people to have a choice. But that means that it's not the first she's seen the situation. It also means that she knows that others have a different point of view on the topic. Which means the gov. is not alone in his thoughts on how to handle the situation. Which means, she probably didn't see what he did as being all that cray even if she disagreed. It was mostly just dramatic.

She also knows how quickly people can die and turn from such wounds (her sister died in her arms in a similar situation and then attacked her). They could have carried him off, but that is just a risk of someone else being attacked if he dies and turns.

That scene could have played slightly differently, and nobody would have had an issue with that mercy killing. The issue was with the way the gov. came out of nowhere after all of the panic, shot the guy, and just walked off.

All of that aside, I'm just not convinced on what Andrea's exact position is at the moment. It's been a very short period in which all of this happened and it's not died down just yet. There are still a lot of people at woodburry who aren't the gov. People who she is clearly trying to help the best she knows how at the moment. I'm going to wait and see how she responds once the immediate chaos simmers down. If a little more time passes and she's like "oh, the gov. is the best", then I'm 100% with you.

As of right now, I could see the. gov. going off after Rick and Andrea staying and leading Woodbury. I think she cares much more about Woodbury and it's potential than she cares about the gov.
