Sweet, Super Puzzle Fighter HD is out and is 4 players. I used to play this back in the day with my old roommates. We had a blast back in the day playing this game.

Updated versions of two arcade titles, SNK's Fatal Fury Special and Midway's Cyberball 2072, will be available for download on Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday.

And taking the fire-sale approach usually reserved for mega-retailers and jewelry outlets, Microsoft will offer Small Arms, Zuma Deluxe, Gauntlet, and Dig Dug for half price during Labor Day weekend. The circus of value only lasts 48 hours, beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. and ending Monday at 4:59 p.m.

Mine Loader Software has updated SNK's 1993 Fatal Fury Special with HD visuals, and apparently nothing else. Digital Eclipse handled the update of Midway's robotic tank football title, which has appeared on various Midway compilations on other consoles.

Is it true gamers do this...

I downloaded Puzzle Fighter yesterday and it just got released. I looked at the leaderboard and theres people with at least 100 + wins and like no losses. According to my friend, I guess some people pat stats by playing friends with temp gamertags and beat them like crazy just so they would be on top of the leaderboards? Is this true? That's stupid.

I guess I don't have time to do stupid stuff like that. I'm more of a leisurely player that plays every now and then and my games are legit. Who are you impressing? I think I'm getting too old maybe...who knows.

I used to play H2 competatively in MLG and loved the H3 Beta. Everything was more balanced, ephasizing strategy, which I like.

i enjoyed that it was balanced now...basically in halo 2 you gotta use BR and plasma or snipe, im just saying that anything can kill now because it's balanced...some people won't like that

speaking of padding leaderboards and whatnot, i've been playing that XBLA game track and field...people do a bunch of shiesty shit to get on the leaderboards

for example, in the 100 meter dash, its basically a button mashing contest...my best time ever is like 8.92 seconds or something...well the record holders have like 7.2...turbo controllers

also on the 110m hurdles, a really good time is like 10-11 seconds...record holders have like 0.1 seconds because even on the NES there was a glitch where if you ran with 2 players, once you got over 100 seconds it would reset the counter...ie 102.2 seconds would read as 2.2 seconds

well sure it would be a pain to play through the whole game, but if you've got three buddies sitting around and they don't want to just wail on each other, you could play through the actual game.

Oh well, guess halo multiplayer will continue to be what we always play, lol

glad to hear Halo 3 is more balanced. im never really interested in a game where sniping or one tactic is dominant. i rather liked cod3's mix and hope cod4 will be similar. i prefer class systems which is why ill probably play it instead of halo. both will be huge so you really cant go wrong though.

im playing it right now. story isnt anything new, but it is well done and the atmosphere is pretty nice. the shooting element of it feels kind of loose at times, but the darkness powers are fun to play with. id say it is worth a rental playthrough but i wouldnt buy it.

I've said earlier, that if you play on hard, the hardest part of the game is the first 20-30 minutes of the game when you don't have any powers

JESUS THAT's HUGE (If it's true). Amazing.

Xbox Live is seriously the best platform ever, all others should aspire to be close to as cool. Biggies to me in order of bigness:

1. XVID SUPPORT!!!!! Would be uncanny how cool this would be. It begs the question, for their video marketplace, why would they open up a reason for people to NOT buy stuff and just stream downloaded crap off of their PC. Very cool for MS to do to the community. Wireless streaming everything FTW.
2. Clan support. Folding friends into catagories is the shit.
3. Improved voice chat settings in game and in dash.
4. Themes can be animated and have sound effects? WORD
5. Live Vision firmware upgrade / shaper images. Nice. I like using the camera in board games, and other arcade games. It's fun to win in bomberman and moon the defeated.

I know, it's a rumour. Doesn't mean that some of that stuff isn't exciting. I'm content with using transcoding via media center or XP media connect for now....but if they did add it, it would be overwhelming.

You do realize that since Halo 3 has a hard street date that every store will have it in before September 25? With that in mind, I doubt Best Buy will do a midnight launch like Gamestop (who has owned EB Games for over a year).
