Rules question:
Wagner left them loaded.
Feliciano gets Damon to ground into fielder's choice
Is Damon (on first) Feliciano's responsibility, or Wagner's? If Feliciano had come in with no runners on base, they would have gotten Damon out, so who is Damon's responsibility?

feliciano let damon reach base, so it was feliciano's runner

however, he reached on a fielder's choice

Quote :
"The pitching-thin New York Mets acquired Orlando Hernandez from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, hoping El Duque can help them now -- and maybe later, when even more is at stake.

The Mets traded reliever Jorge Julio to get Hernandez. The deal was announced before the NL East leaders hosted Philadelphia.

Listed at 36 years old, Hernandez was struggling in his first season in the National League. He was just 2-4 with a 6.11 ERA in nine starts for the West-leading Diamondbacks.

But Hernandez is known for saving his best for the biggest games, especially in New York. The Mets have spent a lot of money bringing stars such as Pedro Martinez, Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran over the last couple of seasons, and the veteran-laden team believes this might be the year they go far. Im sooooooooooo glad we didnt trade milledge for a pitcher

Hopefully Pelfrey throws well enough to come up by the all star break

If soler pitches like he did after the first inning last time, we should be in good shape

David Wright is God.

^^ nope. Not a joke. Beane all but offered Zito for Milledge this offseason and Minaya said he wasn't letting him go. His ceiling is just as high as any prospect in the game, including Delmon Young..

especially with Dontrelle hitting his arbitration peak and Zito in his walk year.

Zito/Willis is misleading since they are about to make bank after this season is over.

considering the pending free agency of willis and zito and the unlimited potential of milledge, that would be a horrible move

a horrible move that only the mets would make

mets dumped matsui for eli marrero

marrero was in atlanta a few years ago and is a quality role-player

seems like a good move

why can't the mets chartered flight just crash or something... and the phillies... then maybe the braves will have a chance to fend of AA-Florida and Washington for the East title.

Reyes almost broke his arm while getting thrown out by Manny AND Lastings looked like a total retard when he misplayed a can o' corn AND the Mets lost

NyM410 is right about Soler. He actually was pitching pretty solid in his first 4-5 starts, but got absolutely drilled in his last two. The NL was a joke this year in interleague especially the NL Central. The fucking Royals even had a winning interleague record

Then Willie waits until he gives up a few more hits before he takes him out.

hmmm yea just a fall in the clubhouse
or 11 ER in his last 3 starts? 16 IP/6.18 ERA?
last five starts: 26 IP, 18 ER... 6.23 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, .288 BAA
his era has jumped almost a whole ER in the last month.
I think he's got what they call in the profession a case of "dead arm"
