not trying to sound like a smartass here, but did you read the product description?

Judging just by that, I'd imagine it's pretty loud, but since it has a scheduler I would set it to clean when you are at work and not have to worry about the volume.

nah - don't need 3 of them - probably get another one later if this purchase turns out to not be a total waste of $$ - the carpet is still in it's shedding phase and needs a real vacuum a few more times before the roomba was used i think

people always bitch in the comments about them - but most of the people bitching have already bought one - i've watched them go by too many times and finally jumped

I just bought one too.

Can I just set this thing in a room and turn it on? I have a split level house, so there are three stories to vacuum. I'll keep it on the middle level, but it would be nice to be able to toss it downstairs and let it do it's thing every once in a while.

Woot offs last between 1-3 days. Of course when they run out they will stop it, but they plan before hand to run out a couple hours before midnight, so people dont have to wait crazy long to get another woot.
