totally understandable.

Check out the new pics i added to my gallery. We had a nice slide fest the other day. If you don't know how to slide yet I suggest looking up some how-to and practicing... It can save your life and will make you a better, more confident skater.

campus, centennial, hills around kaplan, glenwood south, north hills, and some up near falls lake... the slide hill there is off avent ferry. I also do trail rides on the capital area greenway.

I was driving down kaplan yesterday realizing how much I want to bomb it... I've carved it before, keeping my speed reasonable. I'm sorta scared of cars flying out of the cross streets.

I have an old pair of Randall 150s

if i wedge them way out and slap some better bushings on them do you think this would work as slalom/pump board in a pinch?

I just need to find something to do with these 150s

yeah, the 150s pump great. I have found with the Randals you can wedge them like 5 or 10 degrees on the baseplate plus whatever angle a thicker bottom bushing adds. I used a orange barrel and blue cone stacked up on mine, with a white barrel on top. At a certain point any additional wedging just makes the truck resist wanting to pivot and once you get there just back off some til it will turn deep again.

In the rear you want to de-wedge 5 or 10 degrees. It would work pretty well and depending on the wheelbase may be able to make it through some cones.

I do! Once you get your board ready come out one saturday... A couple guys and I have a course set up on the hill by the shuttle lots at centennial. Chris has 'real' cones. Its fun. Next saturday will probably be the next session, weather permitting.

Hey just to let everyone know, there is going to be a nice relaxed free outlaw slalom race in Hillsborough Feb 10. If you are interested AT ALL in slalom you should come out and race if not watch.

There will be all skill levels present and helpful advice all around. Not to mention it will be a freaking blast.

We road all over the Dixie Trail area and onto campus yesterday afternoon. There are some pretty steep and long hills throughout that neighborhood. Traffic was pretty light and all 3 of us escaped incident free.

Anyone been riding lately?

Yep, i been riding and building. I'm moving this week so next week should have some free time. Let me know when you go. I'll PM you my number.

About to start building a couple foam core decks, and a couple kite boards in the following weeks. Local testers would be nice... I keep sending decks off to other states and it sucks never to be able to see them or ride them again.

Well skate, wake, or kite, it will be I build you a board and you cover at least materials (cheaper than you might think) and then if it fucks up or is not right for you I build more til it is... And it don't matter if you are moving really, I'll put you guys in the front of the 'new list'.
