guys, read my post. I never said i cared about graphics....i said controls and fluidity of the graphics (i.e. framerate) is what really sucks about GTA. It's about as smooth as sandpaper and never feels fluid.

the trailers have all looked like they had pretty smooth framerates, but most of the footage appears to be cutscenes, so we'll just have to see what actual gameplay looks like

There aren't, Rockstar never does gameplay videos.

Well, let me clarify that. They used to do gameplay videos but now they'd rather wait until after release before having their games crucified by the media

I'm glad this game is taking a more realistic approach, but I hope they don't make it so real that you can't do all the crazy insane shit that made the past games so fun

I had some people over yesterday and we played GTA3 for a good 2 hours...it was a lot of fun, even though there were no motorcycles, no swimming, you couldnt jump out of a car unless it was completely stopped, etc

I was going to pre-order this game but every website I've been to (EBGames, Gamestop, BestBuy) says that pre-orders will ship on 4/29/08 meaning I wouldn't get the game till the day after it comes out. I thought pre-orders shipped on 4/28 so you received the game on the release date?

They are going to build mountains of GTAIV game boxes at all the big box stores, I wouldn't worry about it. Only pre-order if you're planning on attending a midnight launch or want the collectors edition.

Yeah, the website is finally up but there isn't a whole lot to do on it and it's bigger than the average web browser window without any scroll bars so... yeah. But I'm sure they'll get it fixed before too long. There's really no point in fixing it until they get more stuff on that site anyway.
