carolina w/ a floating plastic if there's weeds on the bottom so that it'll float above them

texas if not. i use the texas more often just because it's one knot.

i don't bass fish that much though. i probably acutally use the carolina rig more, but that's because it's a good live bait rig when you up the weight and change the hook. flounder, drum, etc. my catfish/rockfish river rig is also a carolina rig.

My most effective bass bait is a ZOOM trick worm (color depends on water conditions), hooked straight through the middle, with no weight. It sinks super slow and all you have to do is twitch it. If there are bass in the area, it won't even hit the bottom before they hit the shit out of it.

I also do quite well with ZOOM Craws with the hook buried for fishing in grass/weeds

mostly shitty country stations. i have 5 preset buttons, but you can put two stations per button and it goes to the second when you push it twice. i can only pick up 94.7 and 100.7 in raleigh. i don't drive much in raleigh and when i do i usually listen to cds. i listen to 106.5 the most back in goldsboro. the country stations are mostly for the bluegrass shows and the race coverage.

Nah, haven't gotten into the weights yet (mainly because they are so cheap to buy at WalMart), but i make soft plastics. Worms, craws, lizards, etc etc. I have about 25- 30 differen molds. It's a pretty fun hobby, and really rewarding to catch a monster on a lure you cast yourself
