yeah, the name still sounds weak. i was trying to get them to be called the "royals" back when they were choosing the name. it's a classic name and since charlotte is the "queen city" it makes perfect since to me. i don't care that there's a baseball team called the royals, this is basketball. there are 2 teams named the cardinals and hell, they were even in the same city at one time. i guess they would've had to buy the rights to the name from the sacramento kings since they were the rochester royals years ago.

I don't know what's happened to the Bobcats, but this team looks good. Really good. They seemed to play most of the game like they expected to win, despite not having Augustin, and losing Wallace. Some other thoughts:

Felton is in complete control of the game. He's playing faster and smarter than he's ever played. 22 pts 11 rbs 9 assists. Damn.

Diaw is an animal. The guy can literally do it all. He single-handedly took over the game in the fourth quarter.

Kobe fouling out helps immensely. The Lakers only other offense is to throw it into Bynum and hope he bullies his way to the basket. Still, I'm pleasantly surprised.
