i recently got a new phone, and decided to download a fun ringtone to have for my alarm clock in the morning.

i downloaded "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys.

every morning this week, i've woken to the sound of that song, then fallen back to sleep after hitting snooze. i've immediately begun to dream about the beach. and i wake up again sad because i'm not at the beach.

The new boy is took me out to dinner at a great Italian place last night--and I took home two boxes of leftovers. Tonight he's taking me to my favorite wine bar/California cuisine restaurant. And tomorrow he's taking me out to a resort all day and then to a cocktail party. The bummer is that I think my leftovers are going to go bad before I can eat them.
