... I get the same result regardless of the capitalization of the extension.

^yeh, because you're a premie! I'm guessing tww changes your extension since you're premie or it just makes it full size automatically - check your edit next time you post a pic and report back.
^^thanks, did not know that

it just automatically adds the t to the end of the filename when it parses image links.. that obviously fails when you do any capital letters in the file extension.
so, yea, if you're just going to the link then i'm not sure what you're expecting to happen..of course it isn't going to matter then.
^it has nothing to do with being premie.

Here's an idea. I can't help being a genius...
Keep a running log of post/view ratios every time someone loads a forum. Don't log the data if it hasn't changed for a given thread (hash up the thread title). Add a third colum beside posts/views which will display a numeric coding of the interest level generated by that thread based on how many standards of deviation it skews from the norm.

through my testing in chit chat it appears you should remove the "edit post" link for other peoples post. No need to show it or allow it to be clicked if it isn't allowed. 12/31/2009 12:37:25 PM |

Oh, so I actually did ask qntmfred about updates back in May.
FroshKiller: Do you have anything so big coming for the Wolf Web that I shouldn't bother revising Better Wolf Web just yet?
qntmfred: yeah i'd wait a few more months. maybe weeks if i'm lucky
So, you know, there. 6/21/2010 12:36:28 PM |

I still use mine a lot. Only bug that is irritating is you can't use the quick access search link for anything other than searching topics. I think it also disabled the block user plugin, but that's w/e.

Any sort of "release notes" for 0.5? 7/1/2010 3:30:49 AM |
FroshKiller All American 51911 Posts user info edit post |
Not really. Basically, I made a copy, renamed it to Better Wolf Dev, and bumped then version number up. Then, I added a few things for testing out possible Facebook integration with the Wolf Web.
For this half-assed restoration, I just renamed it Better Wolf Web and commented out some broken/irrelevant bits. It's essentially the same as 0.4. 7/1/2010 9:51:07 AM |

I'm glad you put this back up. I formatted my laptop a while back and lost this. Even if you only use this for the block user plugin, it's still better than the other one, if for no other reason than it doesn't show you the threads that people you've got blocked make. 7/1/2010 7:59:10 PM |

Yeah, it kills all IFRAME elements in a post. That's the function of gunzzDegayifier. If you edit the script, you can just comment out line 278 to turn it off. That line should look like this
} else if (currentURL.match(/message_topic\.aspx/)) { usersInThread = parseCurrentThread(); applyMediaEnhancements(); gunzzDegayifier(); blockUsersInThread(usersInThread);

For what its worth, I had to comment out these two lines at the bottom in order to get it to work on Firefox + Snow Leopard
FB = unsafeWindow['window'].FB; FB.Bootstrap.requireFeatures(["Connect", "Api"], function() { FB.Facebook.init("37d6cc213b87da5c6a9b3ffd54a27bbf", "/xd_receiver.htm"); });

If I may be so bold, I recommend you remove the block user code from the parse threads function.

It is separate from the function that initially parses the threads list. ;P 7/9/2010 10:37:21 PM |

Why doesn't this work... In my greasemonkey install dir I have this stub:
better_wolf_dev.user.js
// ==UserScript== // @name Better Wolf Dev // @author Jonathan Hamilton // @namespace http://jlhamilt.freeshell.org/ // @version 0.5 // @description Extensions for the Wolf Web // @require file:///Developer/better_wolf_dev.userf.js // @include http://*thewolfweb.com/* // @include http://*brentroad.com/* // @require http://jqueryjs.googlecode.com/files/jquery-1.3.2.min.js // @require file:///Developer/wolf_web_basics.js // ==/UserScript== // And the whole thing boils down to this stub. topicRegexp = ['nsfw', 'official', 'tww']; GM_registerMenuCommand("Clear blocked users list", function() { GM_deleteValue("blocked_users"); }); checkLogin(); checkWolfWebURL();
Then I moved all the func definitions to the two require areas in /Developer
But I keep getting Error: checkWolfWebURL is not defined.
Well, it is fucking defined in the file I'm asking stubby to require!!! WTF MAD!@!!7/9/2010 11:39:08 PM |
