Do you ever wish you had gone to State instead of Wilmington?

And how did you find your job? It sounds pretty cool!

canes are cool. i like sports in general....especially when its live action.

i have run in 3 or 4 5K's in the past but i haven't run in any in the last couple of years. i don't think i could do a 10K. i'm pretty shot after about 4.5-5 miles.

ps - speaking of running, could you recommend a good running sock? i think i need to get a nice pair.

God swears by Balegas: http://www.sockgeek.com/m-7-balega-socks.aspx

His dad is a marathon runner, so I trust his judgment.

I'm psycho about my running shoes (Mizuno Waves only), but I don't notice my socks as much.

well i figured they would help with the cushioning and be a bit better on my knees and ankles (i've ruined both my knees and broken my left ankle 3 times and snapped a ligament in my right ankle last year).

Unless its like 40° degrees out or less I'd imagine your feet would sweat like crazy. Not to mention wouldn't they go like 1/2 way up your shin?

^if you're going running all the time you should have dedicated running shoes, not tennis shoes. I dunno if you're just using the term interchangeably, but there's a big difference.

[Edited on March 16, 2010 at 2:55 PM. Reason : hell, i could wear nothing but ski socks outside and my feet would overheat like a MoFo]

Just find the nicest pair of running shoes Puma makes and casually mention how you'd love a pair, but really need to find a Puma store to check them out.

I get the feeling you'd find yourself on a nice vacation and have new shoes at the end of it

lol Stein.

i probably should have 2 separate pair of tennis shoes....one dedicated to run in and one just to wear out and about. but you know, that would mean i would have to go out and buy another pair of shoes when i just got these.

bttt ask questions peeps.

What are your thoughts on assisted suicide for those with incurable, untreatable conditions that leave them in no danger of death but in constant pain?

funny you ask that.....my family went through something like this when my grandfather had stomach cancer and the doctors told him that he was basically going to be dying a very slow, very painful death. he told me he had wished that he knew sooner because he would have packed up his things and moved to Oregon where it's legal. and watching my grandfather go through what he did and how his wife was by his side every minute trying to help him, make him comfortable, i can definitely see how an assisted suicide would be considered a better option than what you're going through. i like how Oregon has it all laid out. don't know if you're familar with their process but you have to prove residency in the state for at least 6 months. you have to get 2 opinions from 2 different doctors that both state the same thing: you're going to die and there's nothing you can do to prevent it. and then i believe you have to go to some sort of counseling to make sure you are in the right psychological state to even make a decision like this on your own (i could be wrong about this part.....took a class on Ethics one semester in college and we had talked about this issue this part is kind of fuzzy to me).

end of story...to each is own. i just know if that was me and i had this option, after discussing it with my family, if we were all in agreeance, then i don't see why it wouldn't be an option for me to consider. it's kind of like the "do not resesitate" and living wills. you're basically drafting up a legal document that says if you can't eat or breathe on your own, you can or cannot pull the plug. honestly, i would say pull the plug.

actually BettrOffDead i know who Toms House is talking about and unfortunately for you and God, it's not Golovko *but good job *

well Toms House, if you have a friend that hangs out with this said annoying creeper, then you kind of have to either tell your friend that you don't want them to invite said annoying creeper out (or even tell them where they are....because we know said annoying creeper will just magically appear without an invitation) or you're going to have to stop hanging out with your friend.

either that or invite your friend over knowing said annoying creeper would be sure to follow and when they arrive, realize this is a said annoying creeper smackdown and knock some sense into him WWE style.

personally i like romaine more than spinach. spinach makes my teeth feel funny.

do a grilled chicken breast or some baked salmon. something yummy with lots of protein since youre eating something healthy like a salad
