Word. Something about her face makes me want to punch it, but it appears that several other people already beat me to it.

oh we back

solid first episode

now Crassus is set to take over, looking at the episode list, "decimation" will prolly be one of the most brutal episodes ever to air on cable TV, if they follow history

I like the way they did the Crassus character, giving the respect to certain slaves they deserve instead of simply turning his nose up at them like all other Romans. I'm not sure if he was like that in real life, but it should make for some interesting and clever encounters between his army and Spartacus' this season.

Yeah they are going to set Crassus up as a character we semi respect/like. That way when he eventually kills Spartacus and they do the spinoff show he can be one of the main characters.

i would say they should keep the story going with Crassus/Caesar/Pompei

but then HBO would get butthurt

I hear its in discussion to have a Caesar spinoff discussing his rise to power. I think there is a decent chance.

Shouldn't there be a new thread "Spartacus: War of the Damned"?

Good second episode but I'm wandering when they are going to start the tensions between Spartacus and Crixus. He's supposed to split with Spartacus and take a sizable group with him, but I haven't seen the beginnings of this yet. It seems like there's a lot to cover in the remaining episodes. Also, Julius Caesar reminds me of Brad Pitt in Troy.

and now the rebels have a "twist" among them, hmmmm pretty sure that isnt historical

^^ Its not supposed to be completely accurate. For example Caesar from all known accounts wasn't involved with Spartacus. At least there are no accounts of the life of young Caesar. The producers took liberties with it and I for one love it. Its very likely looking at the how Caesar, Crassus, and Pompey rose to power that they did collaborate during the slave rebellion. I love how Julius Caesar's political ambitions in the show are tied into his role with Crassus right now. Perhaps a possible spin off from Spartacus, should Starz choose that route.

I love Caesar's character. Its brilliant, conniving, and sinister. I knew I would love it as soon as I saw him introduced (surprised at it too). This has been set up as the best season yet. Should be very exciting.

I was watching the last episode and my wife was sitting in the room, she saw the scene with the woman "bearing her mark" by exposing her breasts. She asked, "why doesn't she have clothes on?" Best answer I could come up with was, because its Spartacus and it has been like 10 minutes since they had a female nipple on screen.

I've started wondering this every episode.

I thought the pirates weren't supposed to betray Spartacus until after Crixus left and was killed. Should be interesting to see how the final season ends.

As soon as the pirate said they only do it for the coin its like yep, sorry Spartacus.

Great episode, was really fearing for Gannicus there. Hard to hope that characters don't die though when we know in the end they all will.

it seems that way, i keep expecting main characters to die off

some of them did die earlier, historically anyway

if they do the offshoot show, they should play on the fact that Spartacus's body was never found

and have him show up at the Battle of Carrhae
(as a waiter serving hot gold )

and they should end this series with this fact. i hope they don't kill him off as well just to have closure.

heh, indeed. Still I thought it quite lame that Crassus's douche of a son was the one to do that to Caesar and Crixus. Other than that, pretty good episode with only two remaining.

Yeah, I didn't like that either. It was obvious that Caesar wanted to
fight agron and crixus, but tiberious got them both with cheap
shots from behind.

Well, I liked that episode, seemed like a good wrap up to everything before the end next week.

I thought historically the soliders had to fight each other in the games.

Caesar is a little bitch, but he has a huge set of balls.

Hopefully they deliver an ending fitting next week

I was surprised to see Agron still alive. Even more surprised he survived being crucified and was returned to Spartacus.

I was hoping Navia was going to kill Crassus' son even when Spartacus initially stopped her and gave her a choice to save 500 men. Then when it looked like he was going to be released and I was really hoping Caesar would kill him on the journey back as he was hinting at. Kind of lame that Crassus' ex-slave stabbed him in the back, but at the same time he got what he deserved and she got her revenge.

I'm hoping next week's finale will be epic considering how invested I believe a lot of people have become in this show.

Good ending, I liked it. Since Spartacus' body was never found I thought they could go either way with the ending. But I believe it was fitting to bring it to a close and the way they did it.

Great ending to a good series.

RIP Andy Whitfield, it would have been amazing to seen him take the role to the end.

That was a correct ending.

I didn't notice that much of a difference between the new guy and the old one, and it's not like this role required fine acting. It would have been amazing in the sense that he survived cancer to complete the series.

Perfect ending to a series and that's really hard for such a long and well thought out story plot. Through and through, it did not seem at all rushed nor did it too long. Just perfect timing of action, drama and dialog.
