i think i might just not be a flower person. i mean i do like them if i am given them, duh...but they aren't something i even really think about unless i get them. even on valentine's day i'm not like "oh i wish i had flowers." but i do appreciate them...especially when they arrive unexpected (sooo not valentines or a birthday)!!

like for example...one time last year i was really stressed out in school and had been for awhile and i guess (apparently) i'd been bitching a lot about it, but eric sent me flowers just randomly on a whim and a card that said he was proud of me! and it was like the BEST PRESENT EVER!! but i mean, i guess technically there are never "just because" flowers because there is always a because. whether its valentine's or, in my case, me being super stressed out to the point where i probably aggravated him so much he HAD to do something, lol

but truth be told, besides our first valentine's day, i don't think we've really exchanged more than cards. and i don't think i remember any vday besides that first one (cause that was all awkward and stressful) its just not our thing, i suppose. but we don't do anniversaries either so...we are odd like that.

But I'm going to buy her a stuffed animal and some flowers anyway because gators gon gait.

We're also doing our tradition of buying a box of truffles from a local Raleigh chocolatier we love.

I'm setting the bar low with this one. Luckily, she has never celebrated Valentines Day with a SO because (a) she's been single, or (b) she's always in Aruba for her annual family vacation.

And I MIGHT get one more small thing. She got baller Christmas and Birthday presents/celebrations...so I'm not feeling bad at all for not going all out on V-day.
