LOL, Huggybear broke some ribs when he "tripped over something in his hotel room".

I totally believe that story. I am sure this drunk had nothing to drink.

""He's just been hinting at that all summer," junior forward Tyler Zeller said. "He won't be as lenient with little things as he was at the beginning of [last] season, he'll ride us harder. Whatever we're in for, we deserve it. We can't have another season like we did last year."

When Dayton bounced UNC in the NIT championship, it finished off the worst season in Williams' coaching career. But the pressure to bounce back isn't just some inside-the-program mumbo jumbo. North Carolina State has landed the No. 5-ranked recruiting class, led by monster power forward C.J. Leslie, and the Heels will host a national champion Duke team that returns most of its core players in the first prime-time airing of the rivalry game March 5. Simply put, if UNC wants to regain its in-state throne, there's a lot staked to the team's rebound."

"West Virginia University says basketball coach Bob Huggins' rib-breaking fall occurred because medication taken on an empty stomach left him lightheaded.
President James Clements and athletic director Oliver Luck told the Charleston Daily Mail that Huggins stood too quickly, tripped and fell into a table in his Las Vegas hotel room last week.

WVU spokeswoman Becky Lofstead on Friday confirmed the report. She wouldn't say what the medication was.

Huggins broke seven ribs and was hospitalized for several days.

Last summer, Huggins got two black eyes when he walked into a door in the middle of the night.

In 2008, he was checking phone messages on an airport tarmac when he tripped on a cone, fell and hit his head."

I don't think this is even physically possible.

I don't know if it's been mentioned on here, or I've mentioned it either but GoPack.com should be quite a bit better in terms of highlights/live video starting this coming year... especially for the exhibition basketball games in Reynolds. Not just because of the switch to CBS Sports; they've just finished an all HD control room in Reynolds including fiber connections to the soccer field (I think) and baseball field, so they should be able to do more better quality (production-wise and quality-wise)

Already starting to see a little bit of HD content trickling onto GoPack (although who knows if its originating from Reynolds)

I think this control room is eventually supposed to feed an HD videoboard in Reynolds and maybe the soccer field in the future. Does anyone know if Reynolds got that this summer or if that's a future project?

Hope this doesn't derail my productions of the baseball games though

dear god, why would they waste money on an HD videoboard for the soccer field?
i think the eight people their will be ok without HD replays of players standing around.

^^ didn't say that. that's probably two separate plans. I'm sure theres a plan for that somewhere too. It really wouldn't be all that expensive (relative to going from a SD production to an HD production--it's already done is HD, just presented in SD), all the production for C-F is done within the RBC Center, and that's all HD now, so they'd just need to convert the equipment that sends to the video to the RBC from C-F and get the videoboard.

^ they play within Derr Track now.

"I am very excited to be a part of the Naval Academy and the Navy basketball family," Paulus said. "I appreciate the opportunity that Coach Lange has given me and am looking forward to helping the Naval Academy and the basketball program in any way I can.

i really get annoyed with patrick sometimes... he just does not know what is going on.

like it's very very simple to watch the referees or even the motions the players or making and see what is going on, yet Patrick will tell the viewer something else happened-- and not realize it until the producer tells him and he says something 15 seconds later

http://www.rbcverviers-pepinster.be/saison/news/index.php?news=100813-2.php

"The power forward of 206 cm is undoubtedly one of Paris's most awaited by the recruitment of cell VOO Verviers-Pepinster in this season 10-11. A native of Linwood, New Jersey, Dennis was first distinguished as a pure winger at Holy Spirit High School Absecon with eloquent statistics for his senior season and 05-06 (18.1 pts, 9 7 rbs and the title of the Cape-Atlantic League). Upon entry to the North Carolina State University's entourage sporting uses both position 3 than position 4 without apparent success (06-07: 4.6 pts, 2.3 pts in 17.9 min). Seasons 07-08 (3.2 pts and 1.2 rbs in 14.8 min) and 08-09 (6.4 pts and 2.8 rbs in 18.9 min) are the same barrel with even discomfort persistent in the tendon that impedes progress in full possession of his means. During the summer of 2009, Dennis is working hard his muscles and finally found the cause of its small physical concerns. His senior year, so finally meets their expectations (11.9 pts, 4.9 rbs, 1 block, 47.5% 2 pts, 3 pts 33% and 78.2% for shots in 27.9 minutes) and Dennis is the five-base during the entire season."

Quote :

In his previous coaches, he is described as very mobile and has an excellent trigger. But in the opinion of all observers, its greatest quality is his undeniable margin of progress is Ivica Skelin pleases to serve the team."

Duke is going to destroy the ACC this year. This is probably going to be a 1999 type run. Maybe not quite as dominant as in undefeated, but I just don't see the talent/experience anywhere on any roster than can beat them more than one or two fluke times.

I think Irving was the best overall PG in this class -- better than Knight by a longshot -- and despite Zoubek's "stepping up" (gag) late last year the Plumlee's should easily replace his production. And of course any time you lose a talent like Lance Thomas you're going to get better.

I think the only question is how Curry will fit in to the rotation and I've still yet to hear much positive about him in terms of being an impact high-major player.

This appears to be their starting lineup. They lose a great facilitator and shooter in Jon Scheyer. But they return a great nucleus of veteran leadership and talent.

1. Kyrie Irving
2. Nolan Smith
3. Kyle Singler
4. Mason Plumlee
5. Miles Plumlee

Key Reserves: Andre Dawkins, Seth Curry, Ryan Kelly

I think the success of the team will depend on Irving's consistency as a freshman. We'll see if he can handle the hype and pressure that Coach K has put on him.
