lolz at people avoiding lily's for hipster reasons.

pros for lily's
1)staff is (or certainly was last time i ate there) punk as fuck
2)delicious pizzas

cons
1)expensive (to me at least, maybe you yuppies can afford it lolz)
2)sweet crust.

im a huge fan of crusts, so i will never vote lily's best ever, but theyre certainly delicious on all other counts. if you have 22 bucks to blow on a pizza that will get you about 4 meals (by yourself) then go for it and dont be a fag

It's decent, a notch above Papa John's in my book

Their pizza is pretty good, I really like the California Chicken, the Pesky Chicken and the Muffaletta pie.

Weird, for some reason I thought that PizzAmerica closed.

And what's the correlation between a Z4 and cocaine? Not terribly hard to obtain a Z4 these days.

Hey, if your job is to drive around all the time delivering pizza then it only makes sense to do it in a fun car. Can't have much more fun than jetting around in a small RWD roadster

I KNOW I AM SO MAD that place was my favorite for like my entire life

they "closed for renovations"

and then cozumel moved into their old space

and now some restaurant called al dente is set to open where cozumel was. dunno if it is the same owners or not but i'm guessing not. i don't know what happened it was always poppin even though the inside looked like 1992.

WAHHH. i wish they had given a warning. i kinda wanna call cozumel and see if there's any wildflour house dressings floating around. i will buy them up! that dressing was the yum yum.

Here's the thing about Moonlight. It's easier to get to than Lily's, the atmosphere isn't quite as obnoxious, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the service is great. The problem is, their pizza is just good. I've never had an "OMG THIS IS SUCH GOOD PIZZA" moment there. And their prices are often two or three dollars above Lily's. I will admit that the little extra money is nice if you want a good pizza and you actually want to be able to chill in the store and eat it without the chaos of how Lily's is, but I don't think it's better than Lily's. When a pizza is at Lily's prices, I at least expect Lily's quality.

I'm curious in hearing about the three pizza places WillemJoel would go to before Lily's. He's clearly not blind because he agrees that Lily's is 4,000 times better than Mellow Mushroom, so I want to see his pizza comparisons.

ha, strange I stumbled upon this without the help that facebook provides in tagging.

Capital Creations
Ruckus (I seriously like it more)
Picolla Italia
then Lily's, most likely, but i try to keep it simple there. some of their specialty pies are just ridiculous, and it doesn't translate well in terms of flavor.

No but I bought the Groupon that I'm sure elicited your question I'll report back when we go.

I think I like Lilly's and Ruckus equally, but for different reasons. Lilly's is where I go when I want to pretend my pizza is healthy. I love the Buddha's Feast or whatever the hell they call it. And Mr. Green Jeans mmm.

I go to Ruckus when I want a specialty pizza that I know damn well is unhealthy and probably shouldn't put in my mouth but I do anyway lol.

And when I want just a regular ol' pizza I usually hit up the NY pizza place on Harrison Ave. Reminds me of the pizza I ate growing up.

Yeah, I rarely get their specialty pizzas anymore. That's one of the reasons why they lunch special is the tits.

I still haven't tried Hot Box Pizza... mostly because their lunch special of one slice, a breadstick and a drink for $7.50 is not very enticing

^^^^HotBox pizza is awful and overpriced, to the point where I can't even get my head around it. Their pizza is like imitation Domino's, but even saltier. Their breadsticks are doughy. The Head of Marketing for HotBox sent me two promo certificates for basically 35 dollars worth of food, and even with a free lunch I couldn't bring myself to say anything nice about it. It's mediocre and overpriced pizza, one of the worst pizza places on Hboro even. I do not recommend it.

Although, I'm about to destroy some delicious Chicago style deepdish from Rosati's in Little India (aka Morrisville).

Tried out Cozzolino's Pizza last night (I realize it's in Cary). Really good pizza. Almost as good as Fuhgeddaboudit (also in Cary) but significantly cheaper. A bit of a drive for a pick up but easily worth it over any chain.

I've never had a hard time going to Lilly's. Can always get parking and a table, food comes out pretty quick. Granted I avoid the dinner rush but I can only think of one time I was in there with a crush of people.

I appreciate the nod, but what makes you think it's so unhealthy? It's always thin crust, and we use a minimal amount of cheese, too (it's NY style, durp). . .sure, if you're getting sausage, beef, bacon, etc, it's not exactly a salad, but otherwise, I'd say we're one of the less filling pizza joints (save for the size of the pizza).

I don't go to Ruckus for a pepperoni pizza. If I want that I go to the place near my house. I go to Ruckus for the buffalo chicken pizza or something equally as atrocious for you

parking isn't a problem at lilly's but it's crowded every time I go. The employees are assholes but the food is fucking delicious. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get too.
