When I worked at McKinsey and we had our company retreat for all the Southern offices, I found out that they have a policy that restricts the number of partners and directors who can fly on the same flight. So I guess it happens in the corporate world, but doing it for a family seems pretty ridiculous.

^ it makes a lot of sense for corporate retreats, particularly if the company uses smaller, private jets, which are more likely to crash

You're the one that settled for a 7 (rounding up)...which I don't know why that makes you insecure, considering it's very good for a bitter beer face.

But you'll be making 120K in a couple years...so you'll be laughing all the way to the bank right??

I asked in the interview thread in the lounge, "how much did she claim she has". And this asshole sent me this PM

"how much money does she have?"

I just always assumed that kid was, you know, a nice guy.

He tries to troll me pretty hard for some reason. Apparently I have high standards in women I date and that bothers him. He should just be happy that his wife doesn't have those same standards.

It was mentioned on page 5

but it's worth repeating

if he's a LARPer, he's crazy

also if he gets very into the plots and storylines of his favorite video/computer games to the point where he kinda forgets you're there

Tells you she doesn't believe in the thought that "Men and Women Can't Be Friends". They can definitely be friends, they just have to hook up first to see if there is anything more there.

i'm still freaking out about this one.

I feel this is tip-toeing the line between being crazy and just being a straight-up loser, but I digress.

At my previous job, they told there used to be a guy who had a fear of flying so when they sent him out into the field he'd drive wherever they sent him. Once they sent him across the country so he took off the week before and after, packed up his wife and kids, drove there, and drove back.

Give me a fucking break. If your opinion of yourself was any higher it would escape earth orbit.

Even if what you're saying is true, and you actually have been told that you're intimidating, the fact that you'd even consider mentioning as much means you're fishing for people to shore up your ego.

Nothing against you personally but I've noticed several similar comments in this thread from various people and yours just happened to be the magic ticket to the Grumpy Namesake Express.

^ I think most girls play this card, but the one's who think of themselves as feminists/having feministic tendencies seem to go out of the way to buck this trend. That's been my experience at least.

I would never ask a guy on a first date, and I was president of a feminist organization at one point in life.

That said, it's mostly due to the fact that I'd hate to be turned down.

Anytime that I can remember a girl who really wanted to go out with me, she wouldn't ask me out, just make it incredibly obvious that she wanted me to ask her.

I asked a guy out once. He was the inspiration for my contributions to this thread. And a 32-yo "student" who hadn't been to classes in 10 years but still considered himself one because he was totally going to go back someday. After that I decided feminism might not be for me.

I remember thinking whatever field he told me he studied was cool. I think it was some kind of engineering or physics. Then I found out mid-date that he was actually a mattress salesman. Score.

I've only ever been asked out by a girl once and it was awesome. She was mega hot but I came to pick her up for a date one time and her ex had driven across to country and was fucking her as I knocked on the door. Bitch.

another sign of the cray-cray:

When she tells you that she doesn't own a TV, not because she can't afford one, but because of some hippie shit.

Pretty sure intimidating is just a polite way of saying crazy.

^^^ Hey now, I didn't own a TV for four years when I could have afforded one. But it was mainly out of laziness and having a laptop to watch TV on
