at least nate mcclouth didn't hit a home run

mlb implements instant replay and umpires still can't get calls right. it was really close, and i guess maybe the umps didn't have the same view that the rest of the united states of america did, but they should have been able to see it. there should be a way for them to get the fucking TBS feed in the locker room or whatever. the outcome of the game might've been the same anyway, but still. 1-1 is a much more desirable scenario than 1-0, and then tex and ichiro don't see the same pitch sequence and the game is entirely different.

I didn't get a chance to really see it, but the view where they zoom in, it really does appear that the ball's path changed, which would suggest it hit the pole. but, yeah, they had other chances to win and didn't do it. bases loaded, 1 out, and you get no runs? you deserve to lose, lol

wow, just saw a replay. it hit the fucking pole. I can only imagine that the umps didn't see that one angle, because the ball clearly changes trajectory. It'll be interesting to see to what angles the umps had access. If they had the same angle, with zoom, that I just saw, then they are fucking morons for calling it foul

still, though, you gotta score at least one run with the bases loaded and 1 out.

O well. disappointing but i can't complain about the season. best season in a looooong time.
