I don't think we're going to catch Kansas play as poorly as they did against Purdue. We've had a great run, but we'd need a perfect game to be Kansas, followed by another perfect game to beat UNC.

That's three straight games where we are nearly double digit favorites. Even though we're right on the cusp of the Finals, it's still literally miles away.

Assume we're 20% to win each game that's .2 x .2 x .2 = 1 / 125 or less than 1%

Even if you assume a more optimistic 25% that's still

.25 x .25 x .25 = 1/64. So less than 2%.


Even if we get completely carried away and estimate we win 33% we're still less than 4% to reach the finals.

It's quite the longshot. But god it would be sweet.

yeah but i win $3k if wisconsin wins the title and i cant hedge cheaply because the vegas knuckleheads made syracuse a huge favorite this game so im mentally ruling out a syracuse victory.

i got screwed by purdue i had them at 100:1 odds and i have NC State at 200:1 odds ($15 to win $3,000). Would have had a free elite 8 team.

im throwing that cautious shit out the window (and to the wind), im fully excited/engorged.

Ive watched a lot of bball this year, saw kansas on a few occasions, and thought they were better than UNC, however, I've never seen 30 minutes of basketball all year like we played at Cameron, damn what could have been.

But I still think we have a game like that left in us and Kansas isn't going to try and slow this shit down. If we can play like we did at Duke, we can beat the pants off any team in this tournament, that was a dominating game. I think we can channel that, our boys aren't afraid of anyone.

You know why Amedeo's is shit? Because its an Italian restaurant that wants to be a sports bar. It doesn't work. People want to eat finger foods that can be shared and eaten without much effort. I don't care what anybody says. When NCSU wants to, I think they can beat just about any team out there. People said we couldn't beat Georgetown. They're saying the same things about Kansas.

The only reason I say this is because the ACC isn't some shit league as far as basketball is concerned; the ACC is easily one of the toughest conferences in the nation, and as far as championships go nobody can even come close to it.

This year we've seen NCSU go toe-to-toe against UNC (and for all intents and purposes should have won game 2) and play their fucking hearts out. They did the same thing against Duke (dominating the first half anyway) although they let it go in the second half.

The point being: when they WANT to, NCSU can go head and head against the best teams in the country. I have no reason to believe that Kansas is going to kick our ass, and that NCSU isn't going to put up a hell of a fight against them. It's not a matter of talent in my eyes; we've got the talent in droves. It's simply a matter of focusing it. If we can do that, we can go all the way.
