Don't turn it off E-man, we are desperately awaiting more of your analysis so I can bet against everything you mention.

Quote :
"The knicks matchup great with Miami"

Tell me more.

Quote :
"The Knicks have a more talented roster"

I like where this is going.

Quote :
"Melo/Lebron- Cancel each other's awesomeness out."

I wanna hear the cannon!

Quote :
"I expect [Wade] to get completely worn down in a long series"

Define "long". I need to know if this series is going to go the full 7 games.

Quote :
"[JR Smith] is the reason this will be a long series and not a short series."

Too ambiguous, I need to know how "long" it will really be before I place a wager.

Quote :
"Amare- He is the big x factor"

Amare made big news this series alright!

Quote :
"Knicks bench will dominate by providing replaceable parts big time offense and big time defense. This is why they won't get blown out of any games."

Okay, so we shouldn't expect any 100 - 67 type games, right? Don't be ambiguous. Every game in the series should be decided by under what, 35 points?

Quote :
"Chicago beats Memphis in 7 (The two deepest, most balanced teams)"

So the two teams you picked to meet in the Finals are likely going to be bounced in the first round. Let me guess, you love the Lakers and Indiana now!

Obviously I cannot predict injuries. If you swap the injuries and make Knicks healthy take away Wade and Bosh then it is probably Knicks in 4 or 5. The heat haven't done a whole lot on offense all series even with all the Knick injuries. ]

Picking the wrong team in the West is no big deal. The conference is obviously a tossup as seeds 1-5 are all great teams and 3 of them highly capable of winning the championship this year.

You're right the Knicks were a healthy Iman Shumpert away from winning this thing. He made all the difference in the world in Game 1, without him they would have lost by 40.

You yourself just said Chandler hasn't been himself with the Flu and was last year's MVP.

Throw in Amare's meltdown and the entire frontline has been affected

Davis' back and Lin's return being pushed back compounded with the shumpert injury and you are suddenly down to your 4th string pg Mike Bibby who you yourself said is never going to lead a team to the 2nd round. Where did the Knicks lose the series? Turnovers? you don't say.

You are going to have to backtrack somewhere as your arguments are not consistent from topic to topic and have overlapping contradictions. Which is it? Mitt Romney.

Chandler had one bad game. They lost that game by 33. The Knicks could have played 6 players in the 2nd half that game and they still might have lost. Chandler is not the reason they lost this series.

Amare melted down over a year ago. It's not news that he sucks now.

Davis has been playing, he just sucks. We already knew that.

You never even mentioned Lin in your 1,000 word post about the Knicks so your prediction had nothing to do with him returning.

Davis had a huge start to game 1 before reinjuring his back. Go back and look at the game track or something. He was the only Knick scoring. Everyone knew he wasn't what he used to be but nobody predicted Amare would lacerate his hand and miss a home game.

Davis isn't that good but he's still better than Chalmers and could take miller all day (who was guarding him). They were on route to pull this game out with Baron playing but asking Bibby playing the entire 2nd half as the only pg on the roster is just too much to ask.

Of course I was wrong but don't try to act like you went out on some kind of limb by predicting a 2 seed to beat a 7 seed and don't act like I'm an idiot for being wrong about a team that suffered 4 significant injuries after my prediction or a team that lost the reigning mvp for the playoffs.

Lets see if Philly wins a game over Boston before we crown that pick as anything more than a lucky product of an injury to a previously healthy Rose knee.

Amare has had two rebounds slapped out of his hand by guards in the 4th . Clearly a result of the laceration cast.

[Edited on May 6, 2012 at 6:16 PM. Reason : Wade just got away with maybe a foul and definitely a taunting technical after the block]

They aren't going to beat Miami in a series anyway. Nobody said they would. But that makes all the difference between a five game series and a long series. Knicks are averaging like 30 tos a game anyway.

AL FREAKKIN' HORFORD. oh my, this is a surprise. the Hawks are immensely better with him in the lineup...of course, depends on how much rust he has, but damn it's good to see him on the court.

when Lebron isn't taking the exact same bad shot attempts that Kobe and Melo are taking and get criticized for, and he's not standing in the corner, afraid to take a clutch shot like he's done in the playoffs the last 3 years, he's easily the best player in the league

In three weeks Lebron will have more MVP awards (3) and more NBA Finals appearances (3) than Carmelo has playoff series wins (2).

So stop being such a cocksucker, seriously.

just cause I argue that Carmelo is a superstar doesn't mean I don't think Lebron is a better player (I have thought that since I won a bet with my friend that Lebron's Cavs would win more games than Melo's Nuggets when they were both rookies)

they both have zero wins that mean shit...actually Melo won an NCAA title, so they both have zero NBA wins that mean shit

The Dinner McNuggets are playing horribly tonight. No idea what they are doing.

that was a joke. You can't score 86 points at home when you're an uptempo team. The Lakers played well below average tonight and still beat you?

Can't even blame that one totally on George Karl. He still messed up the rotation, but it had a lot more to do with Lawson, Afflalo, and Faried all sucking then anything else.

Kobe 10-25 FG with 4 turnovers. He better find his game or OKC might sweep them.

The lakers are just much better than the Nuggets so of course they don't have to play well to beat the nuggets. You are talking like the Nuggets are supposed to be good or something.

OKC is the best team in the league right now but could have a lot of trouble with LA if Perkins isn't 100%

The lakers and the nuggets are pretty much even. The Lakers might be slightly better with the emergence of Jordan Hill and Afflalo playing like shit. And the George Karl effect has been in full force with all these minutes to Harrington and Mozgov while studs like Birdman and to a lesser extent Koufos ride the pine.

If you think either team has a shot in hell in beating the Thunder you are nuts. I fucking hope the Thunder are -200, because I'll put $10k on them to win $5k.

I will literally purchase a $400 plane ticket to Vegas just to take the free money.

The Lakers have a shot at winning the whole thing. Probably the 4th best shot but its still a shot. I don't know why you think the Lakers are just as bad as the Nuggets. Thats pretty absurd. The Nuggets have an altitude gimmick that makes them tough at home but other than that they are pretty shitty.

Loved Kenny and Charles talking about Whittenburg and Lorenzo Charles tonight. Great stuff.

Look. The Lakers are going to get destroyed by the Thunder. That series won't be close, period.

It'll be fun to watch. I always like watching Kobe get his asskicked.

I'm not so sure about that face. If Mike Brown gets his rotation right, the Thunder might be in for quite a series.

it all boils down to this.

the lakers live off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against the sonics.

They don't shoot threes at all. That's the sonics' main weakness defensively.

Defensively the lakers are horrid.

LA is hopelessly short and has zero depth.

I like OKC vs the spread. Every game in the series has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 15 point spread.

The thing that gets me is how he can sit in the press conference close playoff game after close playoff game and say "of course I want the ball in the end" with disdain to the audience. I'm sorry but two things are obviously happening: 1) his own team doesn't want him to have it because they know they had a far better clutch performer; and 2) he doesn't want the ball. The Jordan's, Kobe's and Wade's of the world DEMAND the ball in those situations and go get it. They don't passively stand in the corner basically clearing out.

He's, by far, the best player in the NBA. He's not even close to the type of champion that Wade and Kobe are and he never will be.

Look, I don't know how to tell you this but Perkins sucks.

I hope he's out for the series because Collison is better and the Thunder are at their best with a lineup of Westbrook, Harden, Sefolosha, Durant, Ibaka anyway. (though you could argue that they are better if you move harden to point, bench westbrook, and sub in collison with ibaka)

I'd almost rather see Aldrich out there than Perkins. A big man who can't score, rebound, or do jack shit. His knee injury destroyed his career.

The only worry is that they try to play him injured when he sucks more than usual. That could cause problems.

The Lakers guards are going to get ravaged by Harden and probably Westbrook too. This will be the Kobe death knell series. No one will ever think of him the same way again. Although, they should have realized that a long time ago.

hey face, Harden is 22 years old...Thunder better try to trade him while he still has value since he's a couple years away from his body completely breaking down physically
