Dynasty League w/ .5 PPR, got offered Ryan Mathews, Bernard Scott & Mike Tolbert for Ben Tate, Toby Gerhart & Randall Cobb

I've already got DMC & Shady at RB, so Mathews would be my flex. Should I counter & try to get more for from him? Also, 1 guy has both Arian Foster & AP on his squad, so could I get these 2 teams in a bidding war for the Tate/Gerhart comob?

Ok if you could pick between starting one of theses QB's which one would you pick.

Eli
Russell Willson
Jay Cutler
Andrew Luck

and flex Meachem or Sproles?

Flex Sproles for sure.

That's a tough qb question.

Might as well go the safe route in week 1 with Eli.

^^^i'd probably take that offer. but i wouldn't hurt if you countered to try to get more.

^^Eli and Sproles

MJD, Stevan Ridley, or Donald Brown? Obviously, MJD would be my normal starter but I'm not sure about him in week 1 after his holdout.

Bears defense will probably lock down the Colts, Patriots almost never run the ball.. I'd play MJD

Who do I go with at the flex and #2 wideout for week 1? Greg Jennings is my other starter..

Pick 1
Jordy Nelson v SF
Julio Jones v KC

Pick 1
For flex spot:
Whoever isn't picked from above
Ced Benson v SF
BGE v Baltimore
Doug Martin v Carolina

Play all 3 wrs I guess....Jennings would rank third on that WR list imo.

You know what, fuck it.

Nelson
Jones
Martin

I'd go with Brown, feature back who will probably catch a lot of passes this week.

^^Nelson and Jones (but Martin would be my 3rd choice).

Alright I think I've asked this already but I would love some more opinions: picking 10th in a snake draft so I also pick 11th, should I go Stafford then Graham and hope I can pick up decent RBs later or go Stafford then RB like Lynch, Murray, or Charles?

I'd rather not take Lynch to high until the number of games he's going to miss gets straightened out, the last thing I heard was 4 games and that's too many games to miss for a 2nd round pick.

I've always liked 2 nice rbs in that spot. In a 10 team league like that you can pick up a nice qb, (Ryan?) later. Graham at 11 is too high, imo.

I agree about Graham, but looking at what RBs would be most likely available when I pick: Murray, Lynch, MJD, Forte, Charles, and Peterson; which two or even one would be worth a pick that high?

I think I got to go Stafford with one of the picks, the second one seems very unclear.

i don't think Graham at 11 is too high...I think he's basically the best fantasy receiver in the NFL after Megatron

i think you can go stafford and graham if that's what you wanna do. and then you can still get RBs like frank gore, michael turner, darren sproles, jamaal charles, possibly fred jackson in later rounds. i don't think that's a bad strategy at all.

Graham is definitely worth a second round pick. Consider that Drew Brees targets his TE more than any other QB and their offense is definitely pass first. He is basically a slot WR so he will be on the field a lot. Dont let the position scare you.

My first standard league in a while. I'm guessing this devalues WR's a bit..but how much? I've got the first pick in a snake league. So I'm going Foster...but then don't know what I'm going to do for the 20th and 21st. I'm guessing it really depends on who's left. Hopefully there's a decent QB at that point.

There's a very good chance that Rivers, Eli, Romo, Ryan, and Schaub will all still be left, with the latter 3 probably hanging around until the 7th or 8th round in a ten team league. I would go ahead and plan on taking another RB and a WR (unless Graham or Gronk is still around).

I have no shame in posting my team that I just drafted:

(drafted 4th in a 12-team snake draft)

1st Round: Tom Brady
2nd Round: Rob Gronkowski
3rd Round: Steve Smith
4th Round: Vincent Jackson
5th Round: Reggie Bush
6th Round: Demaryius Thomas
7th Round: Beanie Wells
8th Round: Felix Jones
9th Round: Anquan Boldin
10th Round: Mario Manningham
11th Round: Andrew Luck
12th Round: Mike Tolbert
13th Round: Owen Daniels
14th Round: Falcons D/ST
15th Round: Dan Bailey
16th Round: Mike Goodson

obviously RB is the weak point of my team, but I'm ok with it

I had a guy draft reggie bush in the 5th round and call it a sleeper pick. I began to question his sanity.

Also, in the same league, a dude drafted Deion Branch as a starting WR in the 7th round for his team.

In other news, I grabbed DeMarco Murray in the 10th round, and Ryan Matthews in the 7th.

These guys have no clue.

Probably somewhere in between the 4th and 5th different dick you sucked while still married.

Back to the topic:

My RBs: Foster, Charles, D. Brown, J. Stewart, and P. Thomas.
My WRs: Cruz, D. Thomas, M. Williams, Lance Moore, M. Floyd
My TEs: Graham, Gresham

Starting lineup is two RBs, two WRs, one TE, and one flex that comes from those three.

I'm pretty set with Foster, Charles, Cruz, Thomas, and Graham...just don't know what I'm going to do with the flex. I think I'm going to go with Floyd against the Raiders on MNF...after Gates, he's going to be Philip's most familiar target this year.

depends on who the Colts are playing, but I might roll with Donald Brown this week since we arent sure what Floyd will do for the Chargers. It would come down to those two for me though

pick my 3 WRs this week (non-ppr):

Julio Jones @ KC
Mike Wallace @ Den
Brandon Marshall vs. Indy
Miles Austin @ NYG

its a toss-up between Austin and Wallace sitting out for me this week.

I thought about Brown as well...but he's playing the Bears. I think they're pretty stout against the run and I've got a feeling that the Colts are just going to let Luck air it out all year.

In my 16-team PPR league w/ $100 buy-in, someone took Matt Flynn as their backup before Russell Wilson

Both are playing against weak run Ds, I would lean towards Martin but Jennings will probably bring more ppr value. I'd call it a toss up.

Personally I would consider Moore here. Meachem is gone and Brees likes to spead it around. I've said it before and could very well be wrong, but I don't like SD wrs early in the year.

The following receivers are still available in my league:

Anquan Boldin
Robert Meachem
Sidney Rice
Darius Heyward-Bey
Michael Crabtree
Santonio Holmes
Kenny Britt
Davone Bess

Top WRs for 2012 from Yahoo:

I've had my eyes on Boldin and Meachem for some time now. I'm just now sure how much value Boldin has left and if Meachem is going to actually be the #1 WR on SD. Thoughts?

Just a reminder to all to disregard ESPN's projections. They predict touchdowns for individual players, which is impossible for anyone to forsee. Yahoo! and other sites use percentages to get more accurate predictions, i.e. .3 recieving touchdowns or .8 rushing touchdowns, instead of assigning touchdowns willy nilly.

I still like Floyd...but I'll wait and see how Philip is playing before I make him a constant in my lineup. Moore it is. Hopefully I'll get a couple TDs between him and Graham.
