In July, I spent a lot of time exercising in my room in a final effort to appear as attractive as possible to girls. I proposed that after two weeks of rigorous exercising, I will try my hardest to go out in Isla Vista and do everything I can to meet a girl and lose my virginity. Hey folks, I need your help and support with something.

Some scumbag is trying to make a profit out of this tragedy by releasing a movie that he claims "isn't based on true events," however is about a UCSB college student going mental over a girl and killing a bunch of people.

All of us in Santa Barbara are up in arms about this. It is completely inappropriate and the movie could have easily taken place at a fictional beach-side school and still been the same shitty movie without anyone having to relive the tragedy.

If in 2008 a shoot-em-up movie about campus murders was made and it was called "Blacksburg" and took place at Virginia Tech, there's no way it would ever be released. And where's the epic Sandy Hook thriller?

If it was a movie showing a community coping with tragedy it would be different. Instead it sympathizes with the shooter and has no remorse for the victims.

The filmmakers need to go back and remove any references to actual places in Santa Barbara/Isla Vista and the university.
