Poor MKG. Comes back from shoulder surgery. Plays great a few games. Promptly dislocates his shoulder.

The guy just plays hard to a fault. He's gonna have to be smarter about diving into piles like Superman all the time.

Good thing it's the all-star break. Hopefully he only misses a couple weeks.

But what can you do at that time if you are the GM? He's the only hope then probably. It was a tough time. He's stepping up to save the team from sinking. Also the team signed him with 4-yr deal with $52 M. He has to prove he worths that amount of money. It's like a gamble. They bet he won't be able to injure again this season.

And they lost the gamble.

Now the team falls into pieces again. And after the all-star break it's 5 games on the road waiting for them.

Twitter tells me we refuse to include any 1st round picks in the deal and that's why talks broke down. We've made that mistake so many times already, I'm glad they finally learned their lesson.

The best way to get good in this league is to draft impact players. Look no further than the Warriors for evidence.

Jordan doesn't advocate drafting impact players his philosophy is to take guys projected not to be very good.

Remember he passed up kahwi Leonard for biyombo, chris Paul for felton, you name it for Morrison and this year inexplicably Winslow for some white slow guy who can't shoot.

Even though Winslow is an obvious future star.

Then he likes to sprinkle middling free agents.

It's a good move to keep the first round pick. Dwight is going to command like $30m a year until he's 35 on his next deal... he's still pretty solid but he's not nearly what he used to be and that contract will be poisonous in ala likelihood for 2-3 years minimum. Hes got nothing left to play for after he signs it

While Jordan is a terrible executive, no one thought about drafting Leonard other than the spurs. People thought they were crazy for trading a proven PG for a draft pick, and thought they were even crazier when they picked him.

Courtney Lee is just another journey man like Jeremy Lin. A good backup but can't make real impact to the team.

Dwight Howard is the only chance to get better before the season resumes so far.

the Kaminsky over Winslow pick was heart breaking. I am not sure what Jordan's philosophy is. Dwight may shine in Charlotte. He seems very much like a me first type guy. He was great in Orlando because he was the #1, didn't like playing in Kobe's shadow and the Rockets are Harden's team.

Charlotte could be Dwight's team. I love Kemba, but CLT is a small market and even though he is a clutch time monster and puts up better stats, he couldn't get an all-star invite over Thomas from the Celts.

Howard is an All-Star addition that could work. What do we have to lose? 8th in the east - either it knocks us out of contention because he is officially Roy Hibbert 2.0 or he is inspired and the Hornets make waves.

In fact I was pretty vocal for years that kawhi was a borderline league mvp before the rest of the league and this board figured out I was right. Surely everyone remembers that.


There i found my quote "holy shit i still like biyombo but you have to take kawhi here his stats are ridicukous, he's the next Marion or Wallace you can't pass up a sure thing"

OK so I underrated him a tad but not much. Both those guys were severely underrated and no way anyone could project kawhi becoming a lethal 3 point shooter instead of merely avg to above averqge...

Hornets are playing well. Pretty much locked up a playoff spot at this point unless they choke big down the stretch or have a serious injury or two. I was wrong about Marvin Williams. Dude is having a solid season once I looked at the advanced metrics. I had my anti-UNC blinders on.

Yea I think we will get in but espn projections have had us rated at too high of a percentage for several weeks now... I mean 90% is obviously absurd. Kemba could roll an ankle and miss two weeks and we'd almost certainly drop out of top 9 spots...

I expect Detroit to continue playing better with Tobias harris. Washington is a tough call their defense has been awful this year. Chicago will improve when butler returns. Indiana is probably gonna hover at the same level.

We should continue to improve a little with Lee. Just gotta keep everyone healthy. Everyone is so bunched up that a lot can happen but it would take a rough finish for us to finish behind all of those teams.

I'll predict 44-38 with 7th seed and we go down 4-1 to Toronto for our first postseason win in our 11 year rebirth of the franchise lol.
